Nothing but the jerseys has leaked yet. It's basically the same as before except the numbers are a better font, IMO.
I bet Pats sit tight. If they move back it would only be a few spots to ensure they can get the #4 QB they've convinced themselves is worth the top pick
There isn't a QB in this draft or almost any other that could succeed with the current Patriots offense
If Washington takes Maye I think the Pats trade out no matter what. If Maye is there for the Pats they consider sticking there and taking him.
the pats' roster sucks but i think they still need to get a qb. that franchise is dead and there's no guarantee they're picking this high again (or that future qb classes will be good, next year looks bad as of now)
Right, it's always tough to say with QB classes. They often look radically different once the coming season has been played out. But if you like any of them I'd take them while you have the chance.
Fanatics quality is absolute trash. Due to our extreme success I have many Super Bowl champion items from fanatics in my closet and they are all of horrible quality. My life is a constant struggle
You're basically correct. Without having seen the helmets or pants, the blue/white jerseys look basically the same with a few slight changes to font and finally taking a patch honoring the least successful owner in league history who died 10 years ago off the side. At least I hope they did. The black jerseys are new. Or returning 15+ years after they tried them the first time, depending on the POV.
I tend to agree. If you find yourself in the top 5 and need a QB you just go ahead and take one of there is one available in that value range. A couple random bounces next year and all a sudden you're picking 15th and the teams in the top 5 aren't selling. Building a team then getting a QB sounds nice but it seldom works that cleanly.
kind of an honest take if you look at past SB winners. but also probably in full-blown smokescreen season ahead of the draft
I'm sure a lot of you saw this, but Bill Belichick is going to be so great on the draft broadcast. This really was fantastic
Eh. It's probably a pretty good bet they are drafting in the Top 5 again. That roster is ass, they have a HC with zero experience and the Defensive wizard is gone. Realistically they should pick up the phone and field trade downs to replenish and go pure BPA but no way Kraft isn't forcing a QB ar 3.
I wouldn't say it's a sure thing, but we're talking about an 82-year-old man with a huge ego and clear designs on wanting to put another big run together to help his legacy without Belichick/Brady before he hands the franchise over to his son (or dies before he does that). I have a hard time believing that guy is sitting there saying "let's wait on taking the QB who might do that until next year because we want to take this slow" right now.
His ego is out of control… so if he likes one I’m sure he would. That man is absolutely out here to prove it was all him and not Belichick, he’s pathetic and petty and any bad decisions shouldn’t be out of the range of possibilities
He's an old billionaire. They think they can do anything and know more than others. He also loves attention and when the media talks about him. Outside of saying he's making the decision, all the character flaws are there to avoid what the experts say
And also, this kind of describes all owners, right? Is there an owner who would be sitting in that spot of this draft and not want his guys to take a QB? I can't think of one. It's basically just a matter of whether the owner is the type to push that opinion on others or not.
then they should draft another qb next year. teams should just keep drafting qbs until they hit one. literally nothing matters to that franchise without a plan in place at qb (even if it's just a rookie with potential). and at least imo, if they want to build a foundation before picking the qb, then they'll never be bad enough to actually get the top one. see: atlanta
the numbers were the only thing that really needed to change and hopefully they return to the old logo instead of sticking with the Dolphins tier logo they currently have
We'll see how much Elliot Wolf is allowed to operate how he says he is going to operate (think Packers size weight speed thresholds and being a stubborn asshole on grades rather than needs). I also wonder if the way the first dynasty began might dissuade him from pressuring Wolf to draft a QB. Brady was a game manager early and they won on coaching, defense and Brady outperforming in pressure moments.
I like the black jerseys more than I thought I would. Especially with the blue pants and helmets. The rest I am just glad the number font is no longer stupid and that they stopped trying to pretend we should care about our awful owner dying 10 years ago.
Saw a helmet earlier with this logo and thought it was a fan edit. But I guess apparently this will be the #Houston Texans new logo or alternate logo.
Feels like the NFL eventually is going to go the club soccer route of teams releasing new uniforms with slight changes every couple years.
Pegula bought the team for 1.4 billion in 2014. estimated current worth is 3.7 to 4 billion. getting paid for about a 30 percent share would almost get him all the money back when he bought it with cash a decade ago. kinda would love new owners tho
