It was always gonna be McNamara until he gets injured. Hill entering the portal just means they finally decided to move on from him.
#Michigan State Spartans seems like a lot of portal activity, in and out. You’re our first road trip in 2024. What’s the general assessment of the roster moves?
not sure if you’ve heard or not, but we got a new coaching staff roster turnover was/is expected most of them prob suck both coming in and going out
Idk if he is just a good recruiter/identifier of talent at TE or he is just a top tier TE coach, but the talent he has had to work with at that position is pretty unprecedented. Fucking one of the worst OCs ever but seemingly an elite TE coach.
your part of the world is only capable of producing OL and TEs Would also really like a Luke Lachey, that and Winfield Jr really bug me. Legacy offers are whatever but those are 2 of our bigger names and passed them over for a bunch of shit
They talk about Lachey being the best prospect we have had. May not turn into the best pro, but he is a potential 1st rounder next year.
This should solve that whole "night game" problem or "Thursday game" problem or whatever the hell problem it was.
I'm curious what the format is. I know what it was under the last contract but hopefully we'll get better games in non big noon slots.
With the newcomers there is going to be more coveted games in total so it would make sense more find their way to NBC / CBS. I have read FOX has the first 3 weeks of first selection and then CBS / NBC gets a chance but I have no clue if that’s accurate. I’m guessing our west coast friends get alot of NBC night games in November. There are some games you can pencil in… OSU / Michigan - Fox at noon, Texas / Michigan - Fox at noon (almost assuredly a top selection), USC / ND - NBC at night (probably their first selection overall)
pretty sure that UT game has already been announced as noon. It was a separate deal negotiated for UT to leave for the SEC
From what I understand of it, the networks draft “weeks” where they get the chance to select their game and time slot first in that particular week. Previously Fox had first selection every week. Now there is some sort of order and NBC / CBS get some weeks where they select their game first. The reason some game times get released early is because that network just makes their game selection way ahead of time and releases it but most times the network will wait until their selection window in season to officially select their game, especially if there are multiple games in a particular week which could be good/attractive when viewing it preseason.
Week 1 - Nothing really Week 2 - Buffs / Nebraska, Texas / Michigan, Iowa State / Iowa Week 3 - Bama / Wisky, ND / Purdue Week 4 - USC / Michigan Week 5 - Oregon / UCLA, Wisconsin / USC, OSU / MSU Week 6 - Iowa / OSU, Michigan / Washington, MSU / Oregon, UCLA / PSU Week 7 - Washington / Iowa, OSU / Oregon, PSU / USC Week 8 - nothing really major at this point Week 9 - MSU / Michigan, Nebraska / OSU, PSU/Wisconsin Week 10 - Wisky / Iowa, Oregon / Michigan, OSU / PSU Week 11 - Washington / PSU Week 12 - Nebraska / USC, Oregon / Wisconsin Week 13 - Wisconsin / Nebraska, USC / UCLA Week 14 - Nebraska / Iowa, Michigan / OSU, Washington / Oregon, ND / USC just picked out the top TV draw games for B1G home teams of each week from today’s lense.
Yeah it could be. I didn’t see any network attached to it on quick look and USC was listed as a home game. I have no clue what the deal is there.
Haven’t paid that much attention to the schedule, but the local Portland guy spent last week trying to scare Oregon fans into endless Friday night kicks on peacock. Hopefully he’s as right on that as he was with the Pac 12 saving itself.
You’ll have a game or 2 on peacock because everyone does and probably a game on Friday night but the plan for those Friday night games is Fox proper I believe this year and they want it to be a more premier game. I figured it would be alot of b12 games.
Considering Oregon is expected to be the second best team I doubt they will be on Peacock or Friday night any more than UM, OSU, or PSU will be. UCLA is probably in most danger of getting unfavorable kick times this year at least.
