They definitely need something more interesting than we did fucked up stuff in the woods to keep this going.

Excellent question. I that's the problem. They don't seem to have any idea themselves. So more mysterious visions hinting at those spirit of the woods or whatever. I will also say this season just felt smaller scale. Unlike last season where they actually filmed in the woods the cabin was in a sound stage and it kind of showed.
I think killing off Jackie in the first season was a mistake, especially with the way she died. They could have at least made her the one to fall in the hole since that girl was wearing the necklace. Also, the Lottie cult was way less interesting than it should have been.
Finally deciding to watch this, and the finale of S1 has me confused on who a character is. Watched a few episodes of S2 to see if it explained it, but nothing. Who was the woman that ran their class reunion? She was mentioning how she was supposed to be on the flight, but the girl that they injured was the only one I remember supposed to be on it. Am I missing somebody that was in their class and missed? They made a big deal about the girl choking at state because she was way younger than them, so not her unless they fucked up the writing that bad.
It's been a while since I watched it but I always assumed it was the girl that broke her leg and didn't make the trip.
