Spoiler Bastion. So some weird something happened and Nimrod and Master Mold somehow merged together and were reborn as a humanoid/cyborg thingy. Has basically any and every ability, the Prime Sentinel that beat the shit out of everyone is like his toy. Just look at how helpless Magneto was to him.

IIRC, that’s the Mad Max style dystopian future controlled by Master Mold. Mags leads the mutant resistance and there is no X-men because Xavier died in the 50s. Wolverine and Storm are married and part of Mags crew. The whole thing is about Bishop, Wolvie, Storm hopping around time, getting chased by nimrod (who master mold controls), trying to find a way to save Xavier so the X-men are formed. My guess is they want the Nimrod/MM background info to explain Bastion’s origin.

Going in, I expected this to be kind of a run of the mill superhero cartoon, primarily for kids but laced with nostalgia for the millennials who grew up during the original run. But this has surpassed all X-pectations (see what I did there?) and has to be in consideration for the best episodic content that Marvel has ever produced.

Don't know if they are tapping into nostalgia feels, if I'm getting caught up in the praise on this board, or what, but this is fantastic. One thing I didn't understand this last episode was where in the heck Juggernaut came from? He was there for like 5 seconds then gone again. Has he been in the mansion this entire time? Did I miss him in earlier episodes?
I love the little things, like when Nightcrawler hits the wall and the swords fall, you just know the Swashbuckler was going to do something bad ass soon.

I guess one of the writers said that Bastion has appeared or been directly referenced in every episode.
All of the humans running in the opening credits turn into Prime Sentinels in this episode. This thing is so next level.
