my hope, which I have no choice but to cling to...even if they're just re-doing the website, why would anyone bother if TT was done for good?
Charles Godwin was fantastic last night. Played at a listening room type event space in Atlanta. Just him and his producer on guitars.
Confirmed good guy. Helped some old broad get her luggage from the overhead compartment. We sat in the row behind him; had to slap my wife’s hand from trying to touch his hair. He’s also taller than I thought he’d be.
We had much different experiences. He had a full on 6 man band with him tonight and they were jamming. He sounded great
well now I want to go see CWG in DC cause its "cheap and easy" to get to. tickets are only $12 I could probably get him to do a private show for 1k and save money
these are my 5 favorite albums of 2021, no interviews. Cole Chaney "Mercy" Mac Leaphart "Music City Joke" Emily Scott Robinson "American Siren" Charles Wesley Godwin "How the Mighty Fall" Flatland Cavalry "Welcome to Countryland" Chaney would probably be my vote for best album this year tbqh, many great contenders though.
Think my favorite country records of the year would go: Morgan Wade - Reckless James McMurtry - The Horses and the Hounds Charles Wesley Godwin - How the Mighty Fall Carly Pearce - 29 Tre Burt - You, Yeah, You Emily Scott Robinson - American Siren John R. Miller - Depreciated Ashland Craft - Travelin' Kind Mike and the Moonpies - One to Grow On Joshua Ray Walker - See You Next Time
My top 5: 1. Sturgill Simpson - Ballad of Dood & Juanita 2. Morgan Wade - Reckless 3. John R Miller - Depreciated 4. Charles Wesley Godwin - How the Mighty Fall 5. American Aquarium - Slappers, Bangers, and Certified Twangers
I think I'll go with CWG as my number one album this year, but really close with a few others. It was a great music year. I'm sure I'm forgetting of a few, as well Addison Johnson American Aquarium The Barlow's Bobby Dove Cole Chaney Charles Wesley Godwin Charley Crockett David Miner Dillon Warneck Drayton Farley Flatland Calvary Jesse Daniel John R Miller Joshua Ray Walker Mac Leaphart Pony Bradshaw Sturgill Simpson
Knew I would forget some. Just listened to the Kiely Connell album the other day and thought it was fantastic
Yeah I’ve got tickets to that too. I got those before Christmas when they were running a 2 for 1 sale. Hopefully he doesn’t have to cancel. He just canceled his January shows.
