Apparently I am severely deprived because I haven't watched any of these shows. So which of the three should I start with?
The Wire. Not even close IMO. Entourage was cool for a season or two. Dexter just plain sucks. I tried to get into it on multiple occasions and just don't see the appeal.
entourage just to piss chad off if you want to see , money, cool shit, stars, and other cool shit watch entourage. wire and dexter 2nd and 3rd.
Haven't seen Dexter yet (catching up on Lost then onto Dexter), but I have seen all of Entourage and The Wire. Depends what you're interested in. The Wire will challenge you to think and will suck you in for hours at a time, whereas Entourage is a completely different show - just bromance and slaying hot strange basically. It's like comparing apples to oranges, but I would watch a new episode/season of The Wire over a new episode/season of Entourage 8 days a week.
All 3 are great but i would say 1/2 Dexter and the wire interchangeably then entourage Other shows you might enjoy: californication (if you dont like this you should GTFO TMB) Breaking bad: Pretty interesting show Weeds: first few seasons were good but they are getting progressively worse.
The Wire is the greatest show in television history. Dexter is the best show currently airing. Entourage has nice eye candy. Definitely a "summer blockbuster" type of show whereas the other two are Oscar-type dramas.
It goes like. 1. The Wire . . . . . . 2. Dexter . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Entourage, a show you watch if all your dumbass drunk friends are watching
I don't watch much tv in general and the only show that i watched consistently is Sons of Anarchy. But so far it appears that The Wire is getting the most love.
Entourage got old. How many times can Vince rise and fall? How many times can Drama not get a movie role and audition for TV until his wild and crazy antics cost him the job? How many times can Turtle mooch off Vince, yet show his entrepreneurial side? How many times can Eric be a whiny little bitch who likes having a GF but can only be happy with Sloan? How many times can Ari lose his shit in on some Jr. agent or call Eric pizza boy? Nothing new happens, except the names of the roles Vince gets. Dexter isn't good. IMO it's terrible. 1.) The writing sucks 2.) The acting is even worse It doesn't translate to TV for me.
I do agree that a ton of the acting is awful and that some of the writing is cheesy as shit...but Dexter's character is one of my favorites and he alone is worth watching
entourage then dexter then the wire. in this order you will not be disappointed. start with the weakest and go to the strongest.
How is this possible? Watch Entourage 1st. Then watch Dexter. Then, when you think you're ready to be a true watch The Wire.
Haven't seen Dexter but The Wire is the best show I've ever seen. I'll watch Dexter eventually but I just got done of a month of catching up with Lost from the beginning so I've had enough obsession to last for a while, plus I have to watch The Sopranos too
The wire but to be honest I havent seen an episode of Dexter but I am currently d/ling seasons 1-4 10 hrs to go.
No I am too big of a fan boy to admit anything could be better than The Wire, not to mention blow it out of the water
I thought The Wire was better then The Shield. But you should watch it. It is amazing in its own way.
