idk how do say it without sounding judgmental but I can’t imagine being a sex worker for an extended period of time can be healthy for your mental health. Seems like the shit you have to put up with and the things you have to do to put up with them would wear on you after a while. I think you probably can do it for a bit make as much money as you can and invest it so you can try and get out before it fucks you over.
I imagine it’s similar to a lot of other performance related jobs that have a higher-than-normal mental health and drug abuse problems: traditional actors, musicians, comedians, etc. Get into it because you’re unable to cope with a 9-5 office job, use drugs to cope with performance anxiety and/or undiagnosed mental health issues (depression, anxiety, ADHD).
For a lot of musicians it's just straight up boredom that leads to addiction problems. Riding for long periods of time. Tons of down time with nothing to do. Etc...
TMZ: Kagney Linn Karter -- a famous porn star -- has died by suicide ... TMZ has learned. The adult film actress -- who got her start in the industry way back in the mid-2000s -- passed away Thursday in Cuyahoga County ... this according to online records that confirm her body was received by the Medical Examiner's office that day from Parma, OH. A rep for the Parma Police Department tells TMZ ... Kagney took her own life -- something confirmed by friends of hers who've now started a GoFundMe on behalf of her mom, Tina. The organizers of the GFM say the cash raised will go toward costs Tina has incurred in properly laying KLK to rest, including memorial services. The GFM -- which has a goal of $8,000, and has raised just less than $6k at this point -- will use any leftover cash and donate it to a local animal rescue charity ... something her friends say she would've wanted. The two women behind the GoFundMe say they're fitness studio owners -- ones that Kagney would apparently frequent in the Cleveland, OH area -- and they say she had started one of her own as well in Akron ... noting it was the first pole studio of its kind around there.
I believe they incorporate pole dancing into the workout. I assume it takes strength to work a pole. I really don’t know how else to write this lol
So sad about KLK. Also weird how when an actor dies, you want to re-watch their movies. Or when a musician dies, you want to share a new playlist with your favorite songs by them. Not so much in this case!
