Frustrating but not discouraging. Alexis shouldn't have needed to be brought on. Prob never expected to play today.
Usually when Sanchez is bad it's because he's pressing too much and/or trying to do it all himself. Like I said, he should've never had to be brought on and shouldn't have played today. We were fine before him.
At least that wasn't a league game. Pretty awful that the Elneny was the only person in the whole stadium appealing for what should have been a penalty, made it easy for Dean.
Sanchez seems to need 4-5 games to get going, he should be good by United. Really didn't have a bad performance from the starters besides Flamini, Iwobi didn't do enough though.
Elneny played well, but needs to go on Özil's training plan over the summer... was knocked off the ball too easily at times.
This match also served as a reminder that we're more than likely going to get more Steve Bruce in the Prem next year.
Wouldn't mind giving them Chuba and Hayden for another season if they make it up. Of all the fuck cunt former players becoming managers, Bruce probably bothers me the least. .
hoping we go with this front 6 - -----------Theo------------ Alexis----Ozil--------Ramsey ------Elneny---Coq-------- I doubt we actually get Elneny but I want Ramsey on the right. Giroud has been playing really well but I think we need Theo's speed to try to counter. Giroud is also a better sub.
So who gets the red and at what point in this match?... Not looking forward to this match, but still called out sick.
FC Barcelona @FCBarcelona now2 minutes ago #FCB XI 1. Ter Stegen 3. Piqué 4. Rakitic 5. Sergio 6. Alves 8. Iniesta 9. Suárez 10. Messi 11. Neymar 14. Mascherano 18. Alba
it was always going to be that lineup, unfortunately. welbeck, theo, and joel will join the fold if we need/want a goal. gibbs and flamini will likely come on if we want to hold onto what we got. it's clockwork.
so the path of this match is going to be pretty obvious Arsenal come out flying in the first 15 minutes, creating chances, counter attacking with pace, looking awesome. Obviously will not score in this period. Barca take control, nick a goal on a defensive error on penalty right before half time Arsenal push and have a good ten minutes after halftime before conceding again. Then we score one late to give us hope.
Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Ramsey, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexis, Giroud Subs: Ospina, Chambers, Gibbs, Flamini, Campbell, Walcott, Welbeck
I'm gonna rage when Flamini gets extended this summer. Mediocre for his early years, has 1 good year, leaves for Milan, comes back and has a good half a season, sabotages the next 5. Story of Flamini.
I am 1,000,000 times more comfortable knowing Coq is in there and not Flam today. Which is saying something, because I'm still not all that comfortable (duh).
