Gunners has really matured both as a fan and a lover these past few years. Amazing amount of personal growth.
I can get free tickets to Skins' games whenever I want and refuse to go, would barely call myself a fan. Cam is gonna go in raw and it won't affect me much. Caps and Wiz won tonight at least, things are looking up.
You saw Wenger's spread in the fashion mag I posted a few weeks back, right? Arsene rightly puts an emphasis on physical attractiveness, and that overbite is just a tad unruly for his impeccable tastes.
Well, it's been real y'all... @FourFourTweet: Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin is set to be sidelined for 3 months with a knee injury. [Various] https://t.co/jbOnQ1ldcQ
I'd say Chambers is our only hope now. Hopefully Arteta is out for weeks and then Flamini picks up a nig. Only shot we have at getting someone else in there.
Everyone in the world could see Arsenal needed another DM except the one dipshit who makes the decisions. PER USUAL. This isn't new, he leaves the squad short every fucking year and acts like there are no players to buy in the market and acts shocked when other clubs make signings.
Totally agree. Fuck arteta. Start coaching already. Chambers is young and dumb but here's to hoping he can Coq himself into the lineup for good.
He's going to be the literally the only body, hamstring or calf that's healthy enough to play there. Both Arteta and Flamini can't stay healthy and even if they could, they literally don't have the legs to play 90, let alone twice a week with the December death run of the EPL. NineteenNine I think Bennacer is higher in the pecking order than Bielik at this point. But, who the fuck knows, last year he pulled his Coq out of the Championship. Regardless of what happens, we need to pray for Arteta and Flamini to be injured. Hate to say that but that gave Coq a chance last year and completely turned the season around.
Chambers' passing concerns me far more than his running. We've had problems with Santi and Coq not being able to get the ball up the pitch. I can remember multiple games where we couldn't get anything going offensively until Ozil started dropping deeper to collect the ball off of the back 4 + Coq/Santi. Whoever we put there, it would be an immense help if Cazorla stopped playing like a pile of shit.
Yeah, on the one hand, I keep thinking he is better than he's shown, but on the other hand we have how he has played this year and it's a horror show.
I think it's inevitable we either watch Flamini/Chambers split up the 90 minutes or we all get to watch Chambers sink or swim for the full 90.
DM takes away everything Bellerin does well, plus he's a shitty tackler. Would love to see Nacho there as I'm sure he'd be significantly better than Flamini but Wenger never does stuff like that unless he's absolutely forced to. He'll start with Flamini, he'll get injured and/or badly cost us a game and then Chambers will get a chance.
It's a short-term or situational solution, but that's all we need with Ramsey / Ox coming back... I'd prefer Kos at DM, as lone pivot, in front of Gabriel - Per Would free up Monreal & Hector to blaze forward in more of a wing-back role... We'd still have Chambers/Flamini/Debuchy as emergency subs
Just got around to listening to Arse Extra this morning. In any event, they make a solid point I think. It's so much easier to bring a MF back as opposed to moving up a defender. They just don't have the technical ability on the ball, which is something I didn't even think about with Chambers until Zeb mentioned it. He couldn't play a fuckin ball out of the back right one game earlier in the year (against Livid I think?). That leaves Ox and Ramsey as options as well, neither of which are inspiring. Ramsey would probably be ideal but he wants to be a 10 and is already feeling shunned on the right he might feel like it's a demotion to play back. Ox is a doubled edged sword in either role, he can't seem to make a solid decision or stay healthy. Regardless, still Flam's job until he falls apart. Would be shocked if he is healthy on December 1st in that role. Gonna get ugly.
In all likelihood, Ramsey will get the 1st opportunity to land the interior role he craves & Ox will fill the RAM void ( I wasn't suggesting he play DM at all). I suggested Kos, because his passing is excellent & could essentially run with a back 3... allowing an additional attacker forward.
Two interesting pieces on Zagreb. They have two Chilean players Junior Fernandes, their captain, also good buds with Alexis. They were roomies and played third division football in Chile together. Still remain friends, he has pet Alexis' golden retrievers many times. Other Chilean, is Angelo Henriquez, 21, United used to own him. Scored 21 goals in 25 games last year. Only started two games this year, came on for Alexis and Vargas during COPA this past summer. Not a bad pair to come on for on in your first three international caps.
Oh, I know you weren't arguing... Flam is part of the equasion though, but we definitely have other options
Had no idea that GD is so far down the tiebreaker order. If things hold we basically have to turn around the 3-2 loss at home as if it were the first leg of a knockout round.
