Hahaha I've always wondered something about the original "hump the fridge" scene. Were those kid campers actually in the room watching you hump the fridge? I insisted that they be there. They sort of cut away enough that I wasn't sure. There comes a time in every kid's life where they have to learn the facts. And I thought it was important that they stay there and watch me enjoy the fridge. http://www.vulture.com/2015/08/chri...-hot-american-summer.html?mid=twitter_vulture
Did the kids keep a straight face? They did once I pulled out the bulletin board and gave a presentation about how it works. Anatomically.
Netflix just released an hour long making of the original movie culled from 25 hours of behind the stage stuff videos, about 10 minutes in so far, great stuff...didn't realize it was Marino, Banks, Black and Cooper's first movie roles!
Best line of the documentary so far - this is the best movie shoot ever, we are in a camp by ourselves with no rules and now we are in our 30's and know how to party Anyone who has ever been a camp counselor knows how much fun that would be
Started watching the movie again after finishing the series. First scene where Garofalo goes and talks to the professor she gets out of the conversation by saying she has to go talk to Jim Stenzel (Michael Cera's character).
started watching this last night and about lost my shit when roger sterling pops up. liked the first 2 episodes, but goddamnit if coop doesn't get on my nerves.
Watching again and just realized the punks in the convenience store are all the indoor kids from the movie
also just watched the original last night...never noticed Poehler trying to make out with bradley cooper the whole time of the opening campfire credits scene
Definitely encourage everyone to watch the behind the scenes documentary that's on Netflix now. Some really good stuff on there.
I was amused by how fresh-faced Bradley Cooper was consistently serious in his portions, while everyone else was fucking around
I didn't really like the movie at all, but I watched the show and thought it was hilarious. Maybe the movie will be better upon a second viewing.
Finally finished the last 2 episodes yesterday- really enjoyed it. DJ Ski Mask was awesome. Watched a little of the behind the scenes stuff and that was pretty awesome as well.
Haven't read this thread yet and just finished the 8 episodes. That was just fantastic. I can't stop singing "show me the fever, into the fire, taking it higher and higher"
@Deadline: ‘Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later’ Sequel Series Ordered By Netflix http://deadline.com/2016/04/wet-hot...742946/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
What the fuck? Went to watch an episode or 2 over lunch, but can't find it anywhere on Netflix. Even searched for it and it didn't come up
I found it. Literally had to hunt it down, something's fucked up on my Netflix, but whatever. Ep1/casting spoiler Spoiler fucking laugh out loud at Adam Scott/Bradley Cooper
I know I'm being stupid, but the shoehorning of new campers really annoys me. New characters, fine, sure - but don't make them campers that we never saw previously
