Finished, and the end is satisfying IMO. They didn’t throne or dexter it. Sad the sagas are over. It was a damn good show. Only way to improve it would be more gratuitous female only nudity.

Assume this will take us up to the end of the Viking age. Can't wait until we get to the part with the berserker on Stamford bridge
Spoiler: final season thoughts finished the final season. sorta disappointed with the direction they went with Bjorn considering the departure it was from history but it made for a couple cool scenes so whatever. There were about 3-4 episodes mid-season that both the GF and me thought felt like 20 minute episodes/nothing really happened. So many of those 30 second clips that were slowed down and shown in slow motion that made them actually last 2-3 minutes. Lots of boat-related Ubbe scenes included. Kvettill (however you spell his name) was the most predictable thing ever and got too much screen-time. Never got into the Erik/Witch storyline at all and thought that was pretty bad and wasted a lot of time and not a good storyline at all. The Ubbe story after reaching the new land was top tier The wrapping up of everything for all characters involved in Wessex battle was also top tier Rus storyline wrap up was also top tier Not my favorite season by a long shot, and honestly haven't tried to rank the seasons (this one would be the bottom of the list , but it was a good season of TV. Compared to other seasons, not great, but that's mostly because of how good the show as a whole was.
It’s my work time show right now so I only watch during the week. I’m sure you’ll catch up. I’m on season 2. I’m liking this more than The Last Kingdom I think.
Guy had them hold his hair before he got beheaded and he pulls back so the guard gets his hands cut off
The Ragnar and Rollo days starting in early season 2 up thru the great battle for kattegat was the prime of the show IMO. kind of dragged a bit / wasn’t crazy battle filled after the Rus got introduced but was still better than a lot of great shows’ down seasons
The final two seasons just had more main characters split off doing different things than the early and middle seasons. Not necessarily a bad thing just more dialogue and not a major battle every other episode.
2nd half of season 5 Spoiler is post-kattegat battle. Flokiville Island storyline was baaaaad and used a lot of screen time. Bjorn and Lagertha go with the priest to England and most of that story revolves around Bishop Heagmond vs the new priest and the rogue plot in England to overthrow Alfred and Judith losing her mind. Ivar convinces all the idiot people around him that’s he’s a god 2nd half of season 5 was def the worst stretch of the show.
Very good season. Most shows bungle the final one but those goofy bastards at the history channel did a good job.
I tried giving Raised by Wolves a shot just because of Travis Fimmel and he played the exact same character in the 1 episode I watched before passing on that show
No. He just sailed back home. I was just curious if we knew or found out. It seems from your question we do. I'll keep watching. Thanks.
