This made me think of a world that’s quite possible in the not-so-distant future where there are gun and ammo trucks that drive routes like a Snap-On truck and shitheads just run out of their offices to buy shit then casually go back to work.
My cousin lives 5 blocks away from there and has an appointment there in morning. Guessing that will be canceled
With how shitty healthcare generally is in this country, it doesn’t take much of a leap to think that the shooter was trying to exact some retribution on the system. Too bad he didn’t show up at an insurance co. CEO’s doorstep, where his grievance would have reached the appropriate party.
Would be dope if one of these things happened at a place where nothing of value would be lost… like Fox News HQ or any place where Rupert Murdoch and his family are
Chuds say “look at Chicago” obviously in bad faith. I’m aware of ghost guns and weak laws in shitty bordering states, but the Governor of IL and Chicago mayor — mayors of all cities — should be hammering gun laws in media the Sam way <insert every chud> invents election complaints.
Wouldn’t they still have to fly the flags at half mast on a half sized pole? Better plan is the office park gun truck suggested by prior poster imo
man that shit would piss me off so bad 5 years ago on this board. Same person then would bring up video games. People are fucking dying because of politics. God damn right I am going to bring it up.
Absolutely. It could also be that a loved one died from covid before and he begged the doctors to give the patient ivermectin. There was a lot of social media among those people brimming with rage and wrath at the doctors for not shoving chain letter cures into patients. There's so much legitimate anger co-opted by evil people to grow the lunatic ranks and foster this shit
Never going to get rid of all the guns in this country. I just wish people would start using them in a more productive manner like going to certain homes and (redacted).
When we moved to CA last year I had friends and family ask why. Because as far as they knew, CA is a burning, failed state that people are leaving in droves, thanks to liberal leadership. I would tell them that a big reason why, aside from the weather, was public health. I had to explain that I didnt mind paying more in taxes if it meant living somewhere with high vaccination rates and lower gun ownership rates. Some of them thought I was being hyperbolic, and I’m not saying blue states are immune from this type of nonsense, but between the pandemic and gun violence, it is literally a hazard to live in some of these red states.
Fuck me, when Scalia sounds like the voice of reason on a constitutional issue, you know we are fucked.
Just had the first anniversary of the time a guy walked into the clinic my buddy works at and shot four people, killing one of the medical assistants, and tried to kill a bunch of patients in the waiting room with a pipe bomb. Had a long rap sheet of violent behavior. Still able to get several pistols.
Guns are central to the republican voters' notion of american culture. It's literally the identity politics they accuse everyone else of appealing to
He was pot-committed when he walked into the building with a gun. He couldn’t just walk out without killing somebody.
I’m aware, but that he sounds reasonable even out of context is surprising to me. Question- as currently constituted, where would you put Scalia on the right/left spectrum of the court? I’m thinking he’s not as batshit crazy as Thomas ever was, or Alito has been for the past decade.
There is no space between Scalia and Alito. Thomas is in his own universe of constitutional interpretation.
You gave a lot more grace to previous conservative things before. Were SCOTUS opinions really so far out that previously conservative law minds thought they were nuts even before trump?
I would have agreed prior to the leaked opinion. Alito going full 17th century common law has me thinking differently. He’s by far the most shameful product of the garden state and as a proud New Jerseyian, I apologize on behalf of my birth state. We hope you all continue to enjoy the butt rock and offensive Italian stereotypes. Thank you.
