I mean, I know one felon, and he claimed he’s a lifelong democrat but a trump guy now because of this very argument so it isn’t crazy. I just told him I guess it’s a good thing you can’t vote then.
Trump is being “harassed” by the judicial system because of all the crimes he’s committed. Black people are harassed for crimes they didn’t commit because of their race. Same thing I guess.
He obviously just had someone handling that shit for him. He wasn’t standing in line filling out a deposit slip. That said, he will absolutely care about a $1,000 fine mostly because he’ll feel it’s an injustice.
I don’t think the judge expects a $1,000 to actually stop him from doing it. It’s about getting the punishment on to the record. Having multiple gag order violations on the record will play in to sentencing judgements if found guilty. If he’s fined a million dollars for each, that’s going to cause problems related to unprecedented actions by the judge. (Obviously this is an unprecedented situation but I think the judge is appropriately trying to keep things as vanilla as possible)
I would definitely fall asleep in court. However I don't make a habit of derogatorily calling other people "sleepy."

Last time I saw like 90% of African Americans think Trump is a racist so I'm guessing most do not relate to him
I spent 7 full days in federal court earlier this year and didn’t fall asleep once. However, I’m not a sloppy, out of shape, low-T, tub of lard either.
I get sleepy at work meetings, at my desk in my office and generally anywhere something boring is happening. My body is like "yeah nothing interesting is happening, lets fast-forward through this."
Donny boy continuing to fall asleep in court everyday could be some great material for advertisements but I expect Dems to squander that opportunity.

The worst was having to go to classes for random bullshit training at work and fighting falling asleep with like 4 other people in the room and knowing the guy teaching the class.
