I believe that Haitian leaders in S. Florida endorsed Trump and it is widely believed that this was a big help in Trump winning Florida. This is a fucked up way to pay them back for their support.
A few days ago my super sweet 80yo neighbor came over and asked if I could get her TV working (Her remote was out of sync) I got it running....Fox News. I wanted to break one of her decorative plates.
trump won florida because of huge turnout in the shithole areas of florida (everywhere that isn't tallahassee, tampa, orlando and miami)
I've had some heated debates with my liberal friends on this matter recently. In Charlotte, a local politician that won an at-large city council seat was quote over the summer saying something to the affect of "no one that supported Trump should be considered for city council." To me, statements like that are too general and risk pushing away moderates that could be convinced of going in a different direction in 2020. Not to mention that the council here is 90% blue regardless. Not sure if she thought she was going out on a limb with that statement, but felt it was unnecessary ... Personally, I always think of my mom in discussions like this. Pretty sure she voted for Trump, despite being a 1st gen Mexican, because "low taxes." Dems need to find a way to rebrand and compete with the economic platform that pubs are associated with (but doing so in a way that can actually benefit poor/middle class voters)
It has 2 universities(one a HBCU) and a very large AA population. When I moved there junior year of HS my parents made sure to get a house in the one predominately white HS.
You aren't a "moderate" if you voted for Trump. There should be no catering to these people. *The* message should appeal to them as much as it does any of us here - and if it doesn't, that's on them, especially now when it's even more heinous to support the GOP on any level.
leon county is basically just tallahassee which is among the most educated cities in the country. It is a bright blue beacon of knowledge shining out over a red sea of ignorance.
No catering, but if they're willing to reconsider and vocalize that to you, calling them stupid dickheads doesn't exactly serve a constructive purpose if your goal is to get him and people of his ilk out of government.
If it's got a million likes and was posted by Obama it's probably a safe bet it's been posted in here
Also: Of the 25 most liked tweets, Obama has 14 of them. Trump has zero. Michelle has 2. CNN Breaking News has more followers than Trump
BUT SEE, HE'S NEW AT THIS. (This is why we fill these positions with lifelong bureaucrats.) Don't ever let anybody argue the merit of having public servants in charge of our institutions ever again. And don't ever have any of that garbage when someone claims there's a single worthy individual in this administration. They are all incompetent, ignorant, pieces of fucking shit. Every single one. I feel like just keeping tabs on this bullshit I've already shaved 5-10 years off of my life. I should probably go ahead and take up smoking.
My friends mom was living with them and they called and blocked Fox News and the mother couldn’t figure out why.
