Could 100% see them adding the ghost kitchen requirement to restaurant wars next season to make it even harder.
I get what a ghost kitchen is but how does that relate to top chef unless I’m completely missing something
Maybe they ask same team to run 2 different cuisines out of the same kitchen or ingredients yada yada .. who knows ..
I could see them say run your main restaurant but during it you will also have to run a ghost kitchen at the same time.
really really cool episode last night and damn, first time I've seen them not want to send anybody home with this many left. enjoyed the shit out of the history and stories.
Great episode and the god all looked amazing. They clearly had a really hard time deciding, which is always a good thing
Have they shown personal photos of anyone other than Buddha? Seems like every episode we get a Buddha family flashback
tonight's last chance kitchen is very intense. I won't spoil for at least a day or two, but man, this show never disappoints. also I love Buddha.
I was going to be really annoyed if they didn’t send Ashleigh home. Padma literally spit her food out, so that has to have been an easy decision
Feel bad for Nick, but he clearly made the worst dishes of the night. Feel like the thread has the final 4 from the group that was still on tv at that point, but no one saw Sarah winning the final elimination challenge before the finale. excited for the next two weeks
yea felt terrible for Nick right decision but he's def a top 4 chef this season. Really really impressive.
It was right but it sucked. Sarah is such a wildcard here. She is confident now and I guess is a good chef?
I think Sarah is low key the second best chef left? Her performance in LCK was incredible, and she was even calling out errors of other chefs. Nick was awesome and I will miss him, but how do you forget your binder on a fish cake?
holy shit what a great episode, and think we CLEARLY got the 3 best chefs and honestly some just titan level shit.
started out really slow, but we got some really likable chefs cooking amazing food the last 4-5 weeks and one of the best last chance kitchens ever.
best chef won, statistically one of the most dominant performances ever, actually. super likable dude.
Evelyn's panna cotta looked like my favorite dish of the finale this episode was more or less a coronation. Very well-deserved by Buddha. He is easily in the upper echelon of top chef contestants. Wish we could see him go against the greats eventually. Imagine him in the Portland season against Shota. You could tell Tom was eye-rolling it a bit, that Buddha is basically the culmination of a top chef robot. Buddha came in with a great plan to win the competition.
Sarah choked. They really liked her ideas and dishes, just wasn’t cooked right. I think she might have had a chance if it was perfect. That being said, Buddha has to be one of the best winners in a while. Their only complaint was that it might be too over the top. Anyone know if they’re planning another top chef Allstars at some point?
Thought all three were really good in different areas. Sarah had a great thought, but failed on execution a couple of times. Evelyn just makes really delicious food that I would love to eat (although the goat course just didn’t work) and Buddha was great all season and last night. Very happy he won, but would have been really happy with any of the three
I really liked Sarah’s menu/inspiration, if she had nailed the cook more I think she could have won. Buddha really put on a dominant performance this season. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t end up with a crazy successful restaurant. My complaint with Buddha is we got flashbacks to his family every single episode, seems like they telegraphed him winning all season. Evelyn absolutely nails her style of cooking, if you were going to critique anything maybe she didn’t branch out enough also it was hilarious how many damn bees there were at that dinner.
Definitely deserved. I feel like Tom and Eric were trying to say he relies too much on "covers" instead of working on an original. I get what he was trying to do and he executed it well but they know he's even better than he showed.
