I can't tighten a wrist strap with my dominant hand. Non Dominant hand I can use my fingers to hold and rotate. It's weird /diary
i always use my free hand to start one side and then finger tighten the other side. dominant or non doesn’t matter.
Well aren’t you a fortunate person. I have to do my right hand with help from the left and then no issues on the left. It’s oddly frustrating
Not nearly as strong as some of you fellas but hit 315 on bench for a pretty easy single yesterday, lifetime PR at 38 is pretty cool. Goal for the year was to hit 3 plates on the bench (check), 4 plates on squat, and 5 for deadlift. Feel pretty confident I'll get there barring injury.
This is awesome, man. Keep pushing. Love seeing people not giving into the “I’m older I can’t be strong anymore” bullshit
Was on track to be the strongest I've ever been at 38 this summer but picked up an AC joint injury. Getting old sucks but I've got a PT appointment Thursday so hopefully back at it soon
Had a trap bar lower back pop yesterday wasn’t bad but rest of workout was no spine work and today was terrible, whatever
hate that. it's back injury season folks. we are having our first kinda hot days here and my programming is sets of 8 for a few weeks.
Yeah every protein that I’ve found that doesn’t have whey or stevia which really fucks me up, is super expensive, and doesn’t have near the macros per serving that you’d hope for. Just going to give myself mercury poisoning as I suck down canned tuna
I consume about $5 a day of Fairlife. $1500+ a year on milk is not something I’m proud of but at least it’s delicious
I’ll avail myself to whatever criticism I get, but eating a banana and drinking a small carton of the 32g protein muscle milk before a workout has been good to me. The banana provides some quick sugars, nutrients, and I’m guessing keeps me from farting a lot. Xoxo workout boy
No doubt, went out with an overall win. Very watered down on big names but good to see some fresh blood out there. This Hoath guy from Canada I’ve never heard of has had a strong performance Mitch-Tom with Mitch as big favorite
I got some help last time I asked so here I go again. Two questions does doing high intensity cardio after lifting hurt you too much or is it a positive. 2nd does anyone have or know of a good discount/ cheap place to buy “headier” kettle bells and dumbbells? TIA
Maybe if you're 25, most of us on this site are reaching at least 40 so at the point where you can't go insane. I had a very nice body when I could work out 3 hours a day and still drink 4-5x a week.
Yes. Avoid it if you're trying to build muscle. Youll need to eat a fuckton of carbs to keep that going if you insist. Heavier? It's a premium to buy weights still. What are you looking to do with them. Adjustable might be the best route.
yes it’s a positive or yes it hurts you? I’m used to doing high intensity cardio after I lift but keep seeing that all you need is low intensity cardio. So I’m wondering if I am hurting my progress. I put “heavier” in quotes because I just mean a couple between 70-90 maybe 100 pound dumbbells and kettlebells. Just need them for leg, chest and back workouts. I can’t seem to find anything below 2 a pound for weights of that size.
What in the what. That was incredibly painful to watch. Sidenote. Some tiny girl (yes pretty for you pervs) had absolute impeccable conventional form. I think she was pulling 215. Clean AF. I had to dap her up. Shes very fit. Clearly works on her technique across the board. Also some chick benched 155? Like it was her bitch. I couldn't do anything but smile and dap her up. There are shithead hs boys that get out of class and hang around the bench 2 times a week and still don't bench that.
your body needs to recover. Doing high intensity cardio is just going to make that harder. Your body can only take so much fatigue
Yeah I clarified. Make up your mind what you want to do. Get stronger? do LISS. 3-4x 30 min a week. It's also easier to cut if you're not butchering yourself doing high intensity workouts. It's tougher dieting too.
Weights are a ripoff now. hensleya is your best bet. Garage sales etc are a must. Adjustables arent a bad option.
