James Gunn wants Cavill for the future of DC and the Superman films. He’s about to be very very busy.
The new DC regime must have big plans for him to drop the character that he supposedly so passionate about.
While I think that's a big part of it. I do think he probably wasn't thrilled with the direction of this show and it gives him an easy out.

Maybe. But he actively campaigned to be Geralt. He went to them. Not the other way around. So for him to just walk away at least makes me wonder.
Well things can change. if DC is like “heres a very big amount of money” I’m not saying the other thing cant be true, but if i had to choose id say superman winning out seems more likely.
Agreed. And like I said if he did have issues with the direction of the show then this gave him an easy out. I'm sure we'll never know the full truth of it.

Why would you mock the books that are the reason your show exists? Hollywood is scum. Working on the show just for clout?
One of the downsides os streaming and so many shows being made is a lot of hack writers are getting work. They'll take whatever job they can get and then seem to still think they're better than the author that has multiple books published.

Yeah I saw that too. It was a former writer that said most of the writer room didn’t like the books and openly mocked them. Hence why we saw huge changes for no apparent reason in S2.
I read Gunn’s tweet about it and looks like they’re starting over with a younger version of Superman. Said Cavill could be another role in DC. Basically what they’re doing with Mamoa out as Aquaman and most likely coming back as Lobo. He’s doing away with everything from the Snyderverse
And idk if it was Gunn or somebody else at WB, but somebody from the studio apparently told him to announce he was back as Sup in October, then this happens. Just kind of a shitty thing to do.
Yeah I know they stopped production on Wonder Woman as well. Think they’re just going to release what they have in the can then do away with all of it.
What happened. Thought the Rock wanted him as Supes wayyy back. all I know is the Rock turned down a cameo in Shazam.
