When does it get good? I got the complete series for Christmas and started watching it yesterday. Got through the first 2 episodes, and while I like it, I'm not seeing what all the fuss is about at this point. Does the first season pick up soon?
give it like 4-5 episodes iirc then shit gets real. 2nd season is slow, but it's important. seasons 3-5 are masterpieces

i loved season 1, but yeah it took about 4 or 5 episodes before i really got into it. once you hit season 3? game over son.
i'm currently searching for a new show to watch. I watched 4 episodes of 24, and it was meh. I might give this show a try.
Stick with it. I watched the first 6 episodes over a few months, it was good. Then it picked up and I couldnt stop watching.
It's a slow paced show. After watching it, I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch a show on basic tv where the crime is solved within every hour of the show. Picks up 4 episodes in. Season 2 is about the same. Every season after that, I liked from the first episode. Season 3 is my favorite.
first season.. on like episode 4? or 5. It was late and I could hardly figure out what was going on. I'd appreciate nudes of Mandy though. It seems like a character driven show though, so maybe I should give it a season to let them develop. I had high hopes for Bauer being a badass but so far I've been disappointed. oh yeah, his daughter would get it too
It starts getting good in like one episode or so. Season 1 was very good. I liked each season a lot until season 6. Season 6 was a letdown after 5. Season 7 was great until the last 4 hours. Huge letdown. Otherwise, very entertaining show and is fun to watch.
is every season done in "real time"? also, the multiple angles showing on the screen annoys me. i'll give it 1 season before I can it though

Same here. And I made the mistake of dl'ing every season within 5 days of each other, so if there was any time where I would get caught, it would have been then.
The Wire vs Lost threads peaked my interest...so I'm halfway into season 3 of Lost and its a good show and all , but the hype it gets is ridiculous. Lot of very boring episodes with way too much love interest bullshit. I'm still going to watch the rest of lost and try to catch up to the premiere though.... just not as good as I thought it'd be 1/2 way into it. Nothing has really happened that made me say holy shit
I felt the same way. Thought the show was ok and wasn't really all that hooked until about halfway through the first season.
