Yeah I think so. Haven't had luck finding them with the little effort I've put on so far. Thanks man.
Just finished them. Thanks again man. Was cool learning about all the Targaryens and the Blackfyre Rebellion.
So I went on a wiki last night and read about Egg and Dunk after their short stories. Where did all that info come from? I remember Aemon speaking about it in the novels but very little.
Listened to The Hedge Knight and The Mystery Knight on tape this past weekend during a long drive Pretty entertaining. Not much happened, but a nice little filler and some Westeros background while George sits around with his thumb up his ass.
Martin says a lot outside of the books that is considered canon. I'm assuming that's where it came from
Grrm released "A knight of the seven kingdoms" earlier this month, he combined the 3 dunk and egg novels into one book. I didn't know he plans to have at least 6 total dunk and egg novels, maybe even as many as 12. The 4th is a working title called "The she-wolves of winterfell". The 5th has a title of "The village hero" that's supposed to take place in the river lands. Other titles revealed by Martin for the series: the sellsword, the champion, the kings guard, the Lord commander.
yea I heard he plans on writing two books called The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring too but we'll see if that ever happens.
Only other novella I know of is the rouge prince and the princess and the queen. Princess and the queen is the original dance of the dragons. Highly recommended
I've had these forever and finally got around to reading them this past week. Amazing, absolutely loved them. Can't wait for April
Love Dunk and Egg. Would make a pretty great movie or another series. I lost my copy of the princess and the queen, aka dance of the dragons. Really want to read that again, too
The 5 champions are: Lyonel Baratheon Leo Tyrell Tybolt Lannister Humphrey Hardyng Valarr Targaryen Sansa’s ‘relationships’ thus far: Engaged to Joffrey Baratheon Proposed to Willas Tyrell ‘Marries’ Tyrion Lannister Littlefinger schemes to have her marry Harry ‘the heir’ Hardying ????? Not sure if the show is setting up for it but I could see it in the novels where after the dust settles, Jon marries Sansa for political reasons. Ned did promise her she’d marry a prince (the prince who was promised), although he thought it was Joffrey. And I doubt Ygritte wasn’t a redhead by accident
With all the love these novellas get. Why doesn't HBO throw a bunch of money at making movies out of them. The fans would go nuts. I don't get it. This is an easy decision.
Yeah. I think his plan is to either get the rest of the novellas or F&B pt 2 out before that’s even touched. It’s why the Maekar/Egg entry in AWOIAF is so short
I'd love to read the rest of the novellas but I don't want to give that fat fuck any more money. So I'll wait until he's dead to read them. Shouldn't be too much longer.
Yeah I'd be interested in that. I stole D&E from jorge and shared it with a good chunk of posters in this thread
