And now my hopes are very high. Usually when the author is involved in making the show, not just producing - it turns out pretty good.
My wife watches it for some reason. It's basically a hallmark movie spread out over hundreds of episodes. Dreadful stuff
I assumed it was in the movies as well? I watch way more max and netflix content, and that seems to be pretty widely available.
Can't wait until everyone starts charging an extra 50% if you actually want sound Edit: maybe silent films will make a comeback Krasinski ahead of his time
This looks good. Based on the bestselling novel, Harvey Keitel, Melanie Lynskey, Jonah Hauer-King, Anna Próchniak, and Jonas Nay star in The Tattooist of Auschwitz, the six-part drama inspired by the real-life story of Lali and Gita Sokolov.
Hazbin hotel was a lot of fun. The makers apparently have quite a few episodes of a show in a similar world on YouTube called helluva boss
This looks pretty good. AKA Der Pass has 3 seasons. It's on Amamzon Prime and Youtube TV. Some rituals are better left in the past When a gruesomely staged body is found, propped up on a mountain pass in the Alps close to the German-Austrian border, two detectives are sent to investigate.
Napoleon is a tough watch, one of Ridley Scott's rare misses. Tried to fit way too much into a 2.5 hr movie, absolutely no rhyme or reason for the time jumps or what political power moves Scott decides to show or not show. I was surprised how terrible it is. Should have been a 10 part series at the very least
Just finished the first two seasons of this. Great show. Love the balance of comedy and dramatics in it, and all the characters make you want to root for them at some point. Supposedly a season 3 is coming this year
Anyone watch Three-Body? 30 episodes in the first season. Watched it over the fast few weeks and actually liked it even though the English speaking stuff was really poorly acted. I was just looking up when it aired and to see if they are doing a S2. Yes they are and it blew my mind that the entire 30 episode season aired from 1/15-2/3 last year. The trailer for the Netflix remake didn't look as good as this one, but I'll probably still give it a go. I'm not sure how they fit it all in 8 episodes, though.
I've audibled all three books, and it's incomprehensible they'll try to distill even one book into 8 episodes. I've seem some of the Chinese series, and it seemed pretty faithful, if still abbreviated. The source material is DENSE.
What are the books called? I had to rewind multiple times because the subtitles were going faster than I could comprehend what was being discussed.
3 Body Problem is the first book of a trilogy, called the 3 Body Problem series for convenience. Chinese hard science fiction series that is more sweeping and ambitious than say, the Foundation series. https://a.co/d/2ys1AkN
