I think the background check for ammo could be a good case for the future supreme court to take up and reverse
I've already got a Chinese made AK 74 with bayonett. Dad bought it at the Army Navy store in Hartselle back in the late 90's for $200.
How many do you have? Don't they have a thing you can put behind the mag spring to make them only accept 10 rounds, or is that not legal either?
Arkadin If I bought a kit from PSA, can they ship directly to me in GA or does it have to go FFL? Or is it only the completed lower which requires FFL/background check? I've sent an email to their info address to ask too.
I believe if you buy the rifle kit you do not need the FFL. They intentionally sell them without the stripped lower for this purpose. I've never done it though, so I could be wrong. But that's how I undestand it.
That's what I believe based on reading their website, appreciated. Will look to their email to fully confirm. How difficult is actually putting it all together? That's my only concern now.
The tutorials I've read make it look fairly simple, with basic tools, just probably time consuming the first time.
Very easy to do and all of the vids are on youtube. I built my first one in the time it took me to drink 3 or 4 glasses of bourbon. Just make sure you have all of the proper tools, first. I suggest you get a castle wrench if you don't already have one.
The knife turn this thread has taken cracks me up. I love knife guys, its one of those indicators except instead of something negative it just means we would get along swell.
I check PSA Daily Deals every day. For the past few months, aluminum 5.56 30 rd magazines have been running under Daily Deals at 8.99. Today they are 6.99. Wonder what changed?
Ordered a kimber micro rapter .380 from Cabelas. Edit: I received a mailer showing the pistol was going on sale $50 off starting yesterday so I decided to oder online. I got the add in the mail Tuesday and I had to wait until yesterday for the sale to start. Well at lunch I went to place the order and it wasn't showing up at the sale price so I called customer service. When the lady pulled it up on her pc I guess the discounted price showed up for her and then she put an extra $50 off on it. So that was nice.
Its not bad at all, Ive really enjoyed building the ones Ive done. I second what lhprop1 said though, get a castle wrench or one of the ar armorers tools first.
Please no. A bunch of tourist that probably had 0 training carrying around NYC. What could possibly go wrong? Edit. Unless you require more than filling out a piece of paperwork to conceal.
I understand your sentiment, but you also currently have a bunch of thugs carrying around NYC (and many other places) that have 0 training as well. Ever notice how many times innocent bystanders are wounded or killed by a bullet out of an illegally carried gun that missed its intended target?
Guys help please Anyone know anything about battle rifle parts and accessories? Looking for a folding stock, scope and mount for my Vepr .308 and I have no idea where to start or what to look for.
Knives? I don't know much about them, but I can't stop buying the motherfuckers. Brous and a Rat Bastard in todays mail run.
Picked up from Palmetto State: PSA 16" Midlength 5.56 NATO 1:7 Phosphate MOE CTR Rifle Kit - 7781298 Will grab castle wrench, needed tools, and couple of fingers of bourbon.
I've been thinking of picking one of those up. Do you know if it requires any modifications to swap the stock with one that takes detachable magazines since it doesn't? I want to do this https://mdttac.com/tac21-chassis-system.html
Yea, I know it's got the fixed mag. I just want to make sure that if I'm spending $400 on a rifle and $700 on a stock, they're gonna work together and the receiver will be able to take the detachable magazines. I may have to be the guinea pig here though.
Lot of good info over here http://68forums.com/forums/showthread.php?26956-Remington-700-detachable-box-mag-modification
This is a pretty good guide to follow, you can find some good youtube videos too. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_4/22...__GAS_BLOCK___Step_by_step_instructions_.html
Awesome, thank you. I had planned on using youtube as my guide. After completion, how should I trick it out? Maybe a red dot scope? Light on charging handle. Other ideas?
A red dot optic is nice. No such thing as a light on the charging handle, might be thinking of the foregrip. I prefer a side mount for a light. Do like the fore/angle grips though.
I have a red dot on one with a light/laser combo on the fore grip. My other has a scope and I'll be adding a tripod fore grip to it. Just depends on how you want to go.
This showed up today, South African knife makers are amazing. Makes all my $300-$500 flippers feel like shit.
I think he needs a personal assistant to keep track, clean them, help transport them, etc. I'll send my resume in right away.
I'm not killing it in the salary department, well by SE Oklahoma standards I'm killing it, but if I didn't have a wife and kids I could give burnttatertot a run for his money.
Red dots are great. Depending on your budget the Aimpoint PRO you can usually find for a decent price and still have a quality sight. On the lower end I have the Primary Arms Microdot on my .22 AR, not bad at all for the price, I think I paid around $150 catching it on sale.
Not scopes/sights but speaking of this, saw this today. Hell of a deal. Vortex 10x42 Talon HD Binos, normally $579.99 down to $299.98. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=112892736&mcid=235333436&csu=919196&csm=991979961&csc=919159&csa=992109371&camp=EML:DSG_PRM:11172016FlashSaleMainAMLODGELink:Body_Scopes&cp=2460170.65624696.108775876&categoryId=114980356
As a gun owner and proponent of freedom...Fuck the NRA. I refuse to pay membership fees to a lobbyist organization to lie to me and create price gouging.
