First 3 episodes are up and I'm in. Lakeith Stanfield and Clark Backo are great. If the rest of the episodes are as strong, it will be up there with Beef, Silo, tLoU and The Bear for my favorites of the year
Good to know. I might grab an audiobook of it to check it out. I remember watching the Jolie movie back in the day and not being a fan. Either way, I've enjoyed how this one has started. I'll watch almost anything with Stanfield in it, though. Been a fan since Short Term 12
Just an FYI this is completely unrelated to that Jolie movie and is based on a book. As you can prob tell there are heavy fantasy/supernatural elements
I honestly forgot everything about that plot, so I had no expectations of it being similar. Have you watched any of this one?
Yeah we watched the first 3 eps last night and the production quality is what we've come to expect from Apple. My issue is with the story itself and while its still early I'm afraid (and expect) it might go off the rails quickly similar to what happened to Lovecraft Country a few years ago.
Apple TV makes some incredible stuff, but man this got really dark episode 3 who is narrating this? It’s not Apollo right? It’s his dad? also, I really need to see this picture of Emma thts in the museum
