You know you are a little too jacked up from the winning streak when you start talking yourself into matching up really well against Dallas...
We "the red hot Tampa bay buccaneers" and gonna beat Dallas next week in front of the country who watches Sunday night football
"His leadership is pretty unbelievable, especially for a guy who is [so young]," Tandy said. "I know you guys keep hearing it. I don't think you'll ever understand it. Like when he's talking to you, I feel like it's my uncle shouting out. Like when he's talking to me, I'm like, 'Dang.'" "Then I realize how young he is, when he starts screaming and acting like a little kid," Tandy said with a chuckle. "But when he talks to you and he looks you in the eye, you feel it like in your soul, and you're like, 'I've gotta make a play for him."
Jenna LaineESPN Staff Writer Just in: Bucs-Saints on Dec. 24 has been flexed to 4:25 ET. Third-straight flexed game for the Bucs now.
A few of the 1st down runs, it looked like the RB only had a few yards. Check down and distance and it's 2nd and 4. Had to rewind and realized the OL was changing the LOS by 4 yards on a few runs. You don't typically see that in the pros.
Mcshay has the bucs picking Malik 21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State* McDowell has supreme talent, and he can be a menace as an inside rusher when he's locked in. But McDowell could fall a bit, because he's not the consistent grinder that typically comes out of Michigan State. Tampa will be in the market for more pass-rushers.
When we drafted VHIII I almost burned all my TB shit and became an obnoxious twat on the internet too
Imagine being such a child that you'd let a college affiliation negatively affect your pro following.
I can't think about how I would have felt if Bucs had Tebow, but I would take any other Gator as long as they're good... But can we lose every game next season and draft Derwin? Can that be a thing we would allow?
I'm not one of them, but there's a decent sized contingency of our (Florida's) fanbase that truly believe Jameis raped Klinsmann and the other girl who withdrew the complaint (or whatever she did), which they say is the reason they hate them.
It's a lot easier to tune out the college affiliation stuff when we're winning, that's for sure. I was mad at Jameis when we were losing bc he kept doing stupid shit with the ball, but FSU fans white knighting at every turn didn't help either. On a related note, I never miss an opportunity to yell at people who tomahawk chop at Bucs games. People who would do that or gator chomped whenever Tebow did something for the Broncos or any college cheers at an NFL game irritate the shit out of me.
That I can understand, but if you're going to play that card then you have no business being a fan of any professional team.
I can respect that. I think our white knighting came from knowing Jameis does stupid shit you don't normally see, and was successful. He'll continue doing stupid things from time to time, but once the game really slows down and he grows, those stupid things will be successful and astonishing. I don't even chop at Bucs games and i'm a big fucking homer.
Why keep bringing up Boom? He hasn't been in the thread in a while. Enjoying the season too much to care.
http://www.tmz.com/2016/12/14/jameis-winston-rape-accuser-settlement/ NFL star Jameis Winston and his alleged rape victim have reached a settlement in the civil lawsuit filed against him ... TMZ Sports has learned. As we previously reported, Erica Kinsman sued the Buccaneers QB in April 2015 for sexual battery, assault and false imprisonment even though he was never criminally charged. According to court docs, Kinsman and Winston reached an agreement and will file a joint dismissal in the next few weeks. The details of the settlement are unclear. Kinsman also sued Florida State University over the incident and won. She was awarded $950,000 from the school in January.
Settlements in cases like these are weird to me, although I guess it makes more sense from the plantiffs side since it's a civil suit. But if she wanted vindication, why not see it to the end? Guessing her lawyers didn't feel confident? And if he didn't do anything wrong, why would Jameis settle? Maybe just wants this to be over and done with without being drudged out in the public eye again? Can't imagine the monetary amount being anything significant to him.
He wanted it settled because there's absolutely no benefit to taking it to trial. His reputation is finally coming back to him. If he goes to trial all of it gets brought back up again. The people who legitimately think he raped her are not going to change their mind because the civil court jury ruled for him. There is no benefit for him going to trial. Now it's done and over with. People think winning a trial is some sort of vindication. There is no rule that if you go to trial and win everyone has to think highly of you at that point. It is like with Dalvin cook. Somebody will say isn't he the guy that punch that girl. They do not remember that he was found not guilty only that he was charged with it.
