they are probably pretty tired from 11 man blitzes constantly at practice. i think the OL will be decent by week 1.
I think Jameis and TB looked OK the other night. Jameis is a very smart QB (on the field at least). His arm is unreal, and he can run. It seems he understands he is in a men's league now, and the time to fuck around is over. I am not sure Lovie Smith is a great coach, but there are plenty of tools to build around in TB. Doug Martin looked like he did his rookie year, and Jackson, Evans, Murphy, ASJ/Luke Stocker make up a good group of players around him. I think they can win the division in 2 years. Get the OL fixed, and they will be fine.
Eh, they looked good against the 2nd unit and no AD. Not getting my hopes up for this year. Agree with pretty much everything else, though. OL and safety are big holes so long as Martin goes back to his rookie form and Lovie's weird infatuation with Charles Sims dies
@IKaufmanTBO: The feeling in Tampa Bay is a 6-10 season would be enough for Lovie Smith to keep his job. #Buccaneers
That Jameis will be good? That TB could win the division in 2 years? Jameis will be a legit QB in the NFL.
Bucs are pretty far behind everyone else from an overall talent standpoint, but it is arguably the worst division in the country. There's a reason they had the first pick in the draft but two years of draft picks, free agency, and experience is a lot. Idk man...
Haven't seen anything on TB in preseason. How is Jameis looking? Obviously your team has a lot of needs besides a good QB but would he be a respectable fantasy QB to test out?
Maybe take him in a late rd as a back-up and see how he does the first few weeks to see if he's worth a roster spot. But there should be more proven FAs available. With our OL problems, I think he throws a lot of INTs this year.
Yeah I definitely wouldn't take him as a primary. I'm just big on drafting two QBs and wondered if there's a chance he becomes a top 10 QB by mid-season.
He's going to get killed behind the O-line we have. He's going to throw for a lot of yards but he forces throws to security blankets (looks like VJax will be his Nick O'Leary). If you don't get penalized for INT's, he might be worth a later round pick.
You can do better than Jameis, even in terms of a backup QB. The offense outside of the receiving corps blows
At this point I believe the teams switched lines, that "protection" Dalton got was what I'm expecting for the Bucs.
It's preseason, but our Defense is back to what it used to be? or Dalton sucks... I'm going with Dalton sucks.
