totally agree. I think the amazing race is done as far as an interesting show to watch. ive seen every season but I had real trouble watching this one despite a solid cast and may just give up on it assuming the format remains the same.
They lost a team this season due to Covid, I think Phil has said they’re going back to the old format when possible but I understand why they were so limited. Did a rewatch of season 24 with my kids just now and it’s wild how much stronger the challenges are when they aren’t in a bubble or semi-bubble.
id argue the charter flights and the starting teams in 15 min increments is much worse for the show than the quality of the challenges. I’m just not sure I can see them getting rid of those because they’re probably saving money. Hopefully you’re right though and they’ll eventually go back.
Charter flights don’t bother me, but the new location staggered start isn’t that entertaining. In reality, it’s actually more advantageous than getting a win/lead and departing first only to get equalized at your first stop. It’s also much less fun to watch.
Really optimistic for this season, no more charters and a bunch of regular people with real relationships and no social media/reality tv people. Should be the best season in years off that alone.
Brutal to watch those ladies get lost, then get on the wrong ferry, then get change from the wrong guy, to barely figuring it out. They only made it through one damn task
Yeah that was maybe the worst I’ve seen. Took them 12 hours to do one thing. There’s a lot of likeable teams this season. The 2nd place girls team only did well because they followed the the brothers. Part of the game, but I hate it.
at the dad and daughter doing that express pass while they knew they were last blowing through the Taken sign. It’s been awhile since a team deserved to lose more.
I also loved how the sisters that got sent home talked about how they wanted to encourage their cousin who had been ill and unable to communicate like she used to still suffering from the effects yet they literally yelled and screamed at each other the entire time.
Supposed to be an ex NFL player in it this season https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2024/02/20/amazing-race-season-36/72660671007/ 'The Amazing Race' Season 36 premiere date, time The newest season is set to premiere on Wednesday, March 13 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, CBS announced in November.
So far this season has been pretty meh. Almost all the teams choosing the same challenges. Brother and sister team pulling an Austin Powers in the alley was pretty comical. Can't believe how out of shape the Aerobics Studio owners are. Also, why the hell do people go on this show that are scared of heights? Guy was on the side of a hill and could barely control it. What's going to happen when he's gotta jump off a bridge?
