Think the old one got lost in the crash. What do y'all think of Mariota? I was hoping we could trade the pick.
Happy with it. Relying on Mettenburger doesn't cut it for me. Would love to get him some weapons in the next couple rounds though
It definitely provides some hope. But so did Vince and Locker. However, Mariota is probably more talented than Locker with a much better head on his shoulders than Vince had.
Hey guys, new Titans fan here. How do you feel about Marcus? I was looking at the roster and it seems there isn't enough talent around the QB for even Brady to win there. I think that trading for half of the Eagles team would have been a better move, but I don't know much about your team. Anyway, just interested in hearing your thoughts.
This definitely gets me more interested in the Titans than I was before Thursday I think he has all the tools to be a beast NFL QB
Also was hoping to trade down and obtain more 1st round picks. Would have liked to see us build with Mett before deciding he wasn't the solution. Plus we could have used upgrades at like 8 other positions. With our first round draft history I would take quantity over quality.
I think we made enough defensive pick ups to be serviceable so I hope we draft to improve at OT and WR. Mariota needs someone he can count on when the shit hits the fan with our O-Line (which it will).
One positive with Mariota being in Tennessee, is that the media isn't going to rip him a new one every time he messes up like if he would have gone to a bigger market.
Problem with that is you are assuming Webster would have converted those picks into good/productive players. I liked that we picked who we thought was the best player although I don't think it really matters so long as the OL, WR, RB and defense are jokes
Knowing we took Locker picks before Watt makes me think Fowler or that USC dude are bound to be mainstays on future All-Pro lists I really wouldn't be surprised if Mariota suddenly decided to give up football to wage jihad on behalf of the Islamic State given the Titans track record these days
Yay weapon for Mariota! Now let's get a OG or OT and we will be set for the best 6-10 season in NFL history
I like the DGB pick...gotta get someone for him to throw to even if we're taking a little but of a chance... Time to defense this shit up though.
Not a fan of the Utah lineman selection that early in the third. As long as DGB stays away from Ft Campbell scrip clubs then he should be fine.
I have zero clue who this lineman is....but goddamn I have been spot on about what the Titans have been drafting. For years and years, people will talk about the 2015 draft when either 1. ndamem2000 proved he could be a top flight GM or 2. ndamem2000 proved he was a complete idiot.
if Mariota is supposed to be a higher character kid I guess the Titans negated all the good that does with the selection of DGB. Shows you how much they regret taking Hunter seems like DGB was the only guy from Mizzou that didn't score a TD vs Vandy in the 2013 game where Mizzou destroyed us on Saturday and then the Chiefs won at LP on Sunday. A great weekend for MO people who came to town I didn't watch any games last year but from what I could tell through articles and news there was very little light blue in the uniform scheme last year. I think that's one positive from last year. As soon as McNair left and VY took over light blue was the dominant color in our uniforms. Paul Kuharsky has a tweet about Mariota liking navy blue a lot, that's a good sign
Be positive for once, dude. Seriously. "Negated" is a pretty harsh word. Sounds like you are assuming Mariota is going to turn into a bad boy because of DGB. I think positively and thus I believe they think that Mariota can have a positive influence on him. Turn him around or at least get him motivated to give a shit. Regardless, two of the top 3 best WRs of all time are headcases. It's just a matter of getting them in the right position (whether that be the right coach, city, or locker room) to thrive. Overall, I'm much, much more worried about Whisenhunt being a shitty coach than our draft picks being complete busts.
per Kuharsky, the NFL advisory panel suggested the Utah guy go back to school. Sure glad we nabbed him to make his decision a good one on his end you're stupid and you plan events...men don't plan events the piece of shit pushed a woman down stairs I am not assuming Mariota will become a bad person. Jesus. They got lots of good PR because they drafted Mariota. All that public goodwill was flushed down the toilet by taking a huge piece of shit. That's what I meant by negated. You are fucking stupid
how in the fuck are the Titans so devoid of talent? you guys seemingly have the worst roster in the league
rosters become devoid of talent when front offices continually make terrible personnel decisions in free agency and in the draft. We took a fucking guard inside the top ten just two years ago Titans ownership doesn't give a shit about actually winning football games
So many rustled jimmies I can't even count. I'm gonna refrain from arguing with you after this post. So many
fullback's acquired via 4th rd draft pick & undrafted free agent signing? Is whizz having Lorenzo Neal dreams for this Minnesota rb & small Sankey
You guys picked up two really hard working fullbacks. One of my best friends is Connor Neighbors' older brother. Really proud of him for getting signed. He went from a white, 5'9 walk-on linebacker at LSU to being an NFL fullback. I bet Jalston Fowler will win the fullback job since the Titans are likely only keeping one fullback, but Connor is going to work his ass off so if he makes the team then you'll know it wasn't because other people just suck. And if Jalston is the guy then you know that he is both super talented and works his ass off to have beaten out Connor. Jalston was also the undisputed leader of the Alabama team this past year, and he will also be a 26 year old rookie so he won't be some immature 21 year old. He could step in and legitimately be a team leader by year two.
Is there potential for one of those guys to be a special teams player or a blocking tight end? Just out of curiosity? Sounds like it could be a good situation if we could keep both on the roster.
I was hoping you'd trade the pick to my Eagles. If it makes you feel any better, when Madden comes out I'll be editing the roster to mirror the rumored Titans/Browns/Eagles trade, so you'll be getting the players taken at 12, 19, and 20 ( Danny Shelton, some offensive lineman I forgot, and Nelson Agholor)
Rotoworld gave us one of the best grades in the entire draft - here. Lots of negativity here when the Titans potentially drafted a franchise quarterback. Geesh.
Neighbors? No chance at being a TE, could play special teams. Fowler? There's a chance he could be a FB/H-back hybrid, but his ability to run a lot of routes out of a traditional TE spot is probably limited. He's also only 6'0 so he'll probably be kept in the backfield most of the time.
I'm getting pretty excited about Mariota. It could all blow up but right now I choose to believe he is going to be great.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/gaming/2015/08/10/madden-nfl-team-ratings/31418313/ According to Madden, Titans are the worst team in the NFL. That's neat.
Raw. Playing with the first team sometimes but has a lot of drops so far. Looks like an animal and has potential....just depends if he can cut the drops out of his game.
The knock on him was small hands. I guess that's coming to fruition. I still think he's going to be a star. Hopefully he can stay out of trouble. He's done some despicable shit, but for some reason Im rooting for him.
They are showing the Titans here. Bishop Sankey is terrible and Marcus . I am going to cheer for the colts, at least they draft players I like. Not an average back like Sankey.
