At a bowling alley in Houston. 28 years old. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/nov/01/takeoff-one-third-of-migos-shot-dead-at-28-in-houston
There are a lot of people who don't place a ton of value on human life for a lot of different reasons.
a rapper was killed by a kid at a roscoes not too long ago in LA over jewelry. The mom hid him and the dad was the getaway driver. The whole family were part of a gang. Point being there are people who don’t value life.
2 others were shot as well. I know they’re having a press conference now but I’d think someone would have known the shooter as it was a private party. They weren’t just playing dice out on the sidewalk, they were on a balcony on the third floor.
especially sad given how offset was seemingly not on great terms with takeoff / quavo. Hopefully things had improved, otherwise pretty sad way to lose someone without ever mending prior issues. just a senseless thing to happen. happening a lot lately, unfortunately.
It’s not just a bowling alley. It’s really big and nice. It’s in a big entertainment complex with restaurants and a House of Blues and stuff. “Police said the party ended at 1 a.m. but it carried over to 2 a.m. A group of about 40 people was outside of the bar on the third floor after it had closed when someone started shooting. There were security guards in the area who heard the shots but did not see who was shooting.” https://www.khou.com/article/entertainment/takeoff-migos/285-96f78015-1c20-465e-b3d7-e0de1e75691b
J Prince’s birthday party at one of those shitty upscale “experience” bowling alleys (used to be a lucky strike).
The rumor right now is the fatal shot actually came from somebody in their entourage and that they shot first and takeoff caught a stray to the head killing him instantly
There's a video of him on the ground floating around Twitter and it's awful to see. Hes definitely gone before any help got there.
I heard it could be a stray as well. The police said they believe 2 guns were involved but they’re not sure if Takeoff was involved in the argument.
It is crazy that people believe they have the right to share the last moments of a person’s life simply because that individual is famous. This is not a shot at dbl but at the person who so callously filmed it and posted it.
I mean… even if it’s callous, if you don’t see it it don’t hit as hard. for those who ignore gun violence.
that is not cool either. Again it’s not a shot at you just a thought I had. We’ve been so desensitized that posting deaths and murders seems normal.
I don't disagree. We've been desensitized to it. I was just responding to "people believe they have the right to share the last moments of a person’s life simply because that individual is famous"
52 US Senators kill thousands every year just so their insurance buddies can stay super rich. People fucking suck.
Damn RIP, life is so delicate. I read Quavo started an argument about basketball with other guys, their own guy hit Takeoff in the head with a stray. SIAP.
This was a private party and these guys are playing dice together all night... Everyone there knows who shot him right?
This is so fucking sad. I’ve thought about it all day because their music brought me a ton of joy. Takeoff was so incredibly talented and to once again lose someone else in the rap/hip hop game due to violence is beyond tragic.
TMZ posted a video of the incident. I know we said that the video of him posted dying is terrible (didn’t watch it) but this one doesn’t show anything gory and the incident up until you hear the shots fired. Looks like Takeoff wasn’t involved at all and just standing there. Doesn’t even look like a heated argument that would have led to a fight and Quavo clearly says let’s just go and was walking away from the guy he was talking to. Just tragic. Spoiler
