I'm all for giving it a chance, but you realize the IMDB rating is completely worthless considering it hasn't aired yet, right?
Yeah, I understand. Just thought it was interesting. Why rate something you haven't seen yet, though? What is the rating based on?
I thought Tom Hardy was very good in his scenes. I will keep watching primarily because of him but just unsure on how some of this comes together
Thoughts on the first ep? If this didnt have Hardy, Id probably wouldnt be interested in it based on the commercials for it.
There are a few interesting story lines that they have going on, I am just not a fan of the vodoo shit aspect of it. Hardy just killed it in a few of the scenes, he is so good.
Every random person cast in this show looks so so weird. Just weird clown-like faces. Hardy looks like a psychopath but is the most normal looking person in the first episode. So many GoT characters. Who all do a good job. I like the show after episode 1 but have no idea where it's gonna go. I like his brother in law getting tough and i hope he tries to take on Tom and gets a really sick death. Read a little on Nootka Sound after watching the episode and pretty cool history for an island I knew nothing about. Place was hot for like 20 years so I think the show has some potential there
Real talk, people in England just look like that. This is not a joke. People over 50 look terrifying.
After watching the commercials, I didn't plan on watch it. I was scrolling around the guide the other night looking for anything to watch and dicided to give it a try. I watched a few minutes and had to check to make sure that I was watching the right show. I was expecting something weird. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. This actually has some sort of story to it with the East India Co. and the Nootka Sound.
Nobody talking about this show scares me... I've been dvr'ing it and a couple buddies say it's decent. I'm hoping to get in on it this weekend.
I think it is good, wierd and a bit creepy at times with some of the side stuff. However, the East India Trading company story line is a very good one.
Also, Tom Hardy in any scene absolute kills it, he is such a good actor that he alone will keep me watching this.
i really like the show..it is quite different and confusing at times but it definitely keeps my interest.
He didn't steal gunpowder. He stole salt peter from East India to use to make gunpowder. And, yes, he is now making it for America...mainly because he's being forced to
I've liked it as well. A shit ton of Game of Thrones actors popping up throughout. Big fan of Hardy's customary grunting at people.
Show really picked up last few episodes. The chemist is great (actor was incredible in Night Manager too).
I'm intrigued with how he's going to extricate himself from this one. Should be a heck of a season finale.
I always assume they'd go straight for the dick/balls in the tower. I don't think I could hold out very long. Shit creeps me out.
Saw a random episode on a Southwest flight and it has me intrigued. I will be starting from the beginning and giving this show a good watch.
soooooooo.... was this worth watching? I watched episode one and DVR'd the rest. Haven't heard shit about it being good or bad
