Gotta admit this episode had me edgy. Fuck Sheila. And goddamn it the best part about this show at its outset (my opinion) was Mike's photographic memory. Other than him knowing the serial number on the camera in season 5 episode 1, they still don't incorporate that enough into the plot. I just want things to be normal again goddamn it.
I was hoping it was that lawyer who is his real life wife, but like others have said, I don't see a scenario that doesn't put him in jail that makes sense.
I'm expecting them to come up with some convoluted way of blackmailing Sheila to say she made the whole thing up or to get the prosecutor to stop the investigation so everything will be status quo next season.
Um, LOL at the "she could get Mike into Columbia!" plot point. Well, gee, Rachel, if he went to law school, he'd be admitting he wasn't already a lawyer, thus incriminating himself for the very crime he's being prosecuted for now.
That entire mini-arc was ridiculous. So this prosecutor somehow has enough pull with a guy she went to law school with to get Columbia to admit him as a student after a plea deal? Right. I'm sure the Board would absolutely love that decision. Also, even if he somehow got accepted and finished with a 4.0, there is no way in hell the Bar would ever in a million years admit him.
Admit him? Hell, they'd have him arrested. This would be like Dr. Oz going on his TV show tomorrow and saying, "Guys, I finally saved up enough money to go to medical school!"
I'm trying to enjoy this show while ignoring how easy it would be to destroy Mike by putting a few of his so called professors on the stand.
Are there holes? yea probably but this episode was in 6th gear from start to finish. Suits was never the perfect show and the writers have made some mistakes imo but overall i still think this shows got it.
I'm not seeing what you're seeing. I'm so sick of Mike thinking he's Harvey's equal lately, and the writers actually making him Harvey's equal. It's ridiculous. The show has completely lost sight of itself. I was hoping Harvey would destroy Mike in the mock trial and restore order to the Suits universe. Alas, they botched it.
Is next week the finale? Im guessing Harvey. Then we comeback next season after however long he was in the clink and pick up from there. Dark horse is Lewis falling on his sword to impresses Jessica and comes back even more entitled
I read they changed the outcome so curious to see in which direction. I'm guessing only Mike goes to jail if anyone does.
I am kind of ready for Mike to go to jail and for the show to end. I don't know what they can do if Mike goes to jail, isn't that the end of the show?
It would be awesome if they moved forward next season without Mike. Show could be really good again. But they'll probably send Louis to jail instead.
This. Get Mike to jail, write Rachel out of the show, and get back to Harvey kicking ass with his smokin' hot assistant and raggedy gang of cutthroat lawyer frenemies. Or just send Mike to jail and end the show. Either way, if Mike gets out of this and continues being a better lawyer than Harvey, I'm out.
Watched the whole series during the last month, then read up on this thread and coffee 's incessant bitching. It took a bad turn during the middle seasons but picked up late. Looking forward to the finale
amazing that the prosecutor is the villain when Mike has been committing fraud for years. if this was real life, I couldn't imagine the news coverage after Mike's closing argument that he is a lawyer at heart and that is what matters. That'd be like Casey Anthony saying she was put on his planet to be a mom.
cool. been consistently a week behind, but i've enjoyed this season. i'm not sure how they resolve this, but even though i've been fine suspending disbelief that he's gotten this far, i will be a bit annoyed if everyone's able to walk here. at a certain point, you need actual ramifications or else its just "ok, what crazy thing are they going to pull out of their asses this year?" it'd be a show changer (for the better, ideally) if something actually goes down.
But, what's the point of Mike if that happens? Mike or Harvey can't go to jail for the show to continue.
This reminds me of when "How Did This Get Made?" covered Fast Five, and they talked about how in reality the crew were legitimately horrible people for what they did during the bank vault heist scene in Rio. There is no way they did not cause a huge amount of damage on top of killing at minimum several people when they whipped the vault through the front of that bank.
Or Man of Steel when Superman defeated Zod by completely decimating dozens of skyscrapers and city blocks, undoubtedly killing hundreds of people.
prediction for tonight: Batfleck appears, Mike Ross swings at him but is parried, beaten to a pulp for 42 minutes, and is Rock Bottom'd through every table in Pearson Specter Litt.
Yeah that was terrible. I'm honestly shocked they went through with it. I was rolling my eyes the whole time Harvey was working the Liberty Rail angle thinking it would actually work. Always good to see Tricia Helfer in anything.
Reset will be good for the show. Although lol at like 100s if not 1000s of employees all being hired away in a day.
I didn't think it was that bad. The writers have a tendency to create a deus ex machina so the major character avoid the repercussions for their actions they probably deserve. They teased hard they were going to do it for Mike, but he needed to go to jail. Not sure where the show goes from here though. My guess would be Mike works as a 'consultant' when he gets out. Similar towhat Frank Abagnale did for the FBI, but Mike won't be working for the government. Was anyone else expecting a flash forward to when Mike gets out? I fully expected one that acted as a cliffhanger and showed the change in the status quo of the characters in two years. For example, Mike walking out of prison to no one waiting for him and the scene flashing to Rachel at home with another man (husband)?
Thought it was really good tonight. Excited to see where they go with a clean slate of sorts in the new season.
Will be a nice take next season to see how they rebound with the handful of people that stuck it out. Honestly kept thinking they would weasel their way out of Mike going to jail. Kind of liked the fact they kept inching towards it, and then he would have been innocent I thought for sure they would back out of it. They stuck to it. Which is a nice change of pace since they get out of ever having to do anything.
episode wasn't great, but it was nice for them to actually fail for once. Good news is that the end of suits in the spring is a sign that GoT and Silicon Valley is right around the corner
i'm ready for mike to be gone completely. I enjoyed it when it was him and Harvey kicking ass, but them holding his secret over our heads for years now has gotten beyond old . that whole story line could not have been more stale.
