In 12 years, I’ve never really stopped playing it. Just take breaks between new playthroughs. Got three current runs; a Nord heavy armor sword and board, a Breton night blade assassin, and a Breton pure mage defensive tank with magic immunity. With mods and the CC content from the Anniversary Edition, I think my next run will be a wood elf ranger who, due to Nordic racism, refuses to sleep in any towns, so he always camps outside of the walls or in the woods.
Really wish they would release oblivion and marrowind updates with Skyrim play. I know some folks were modding morrwind.
aren't those mods after 10+ years set to release in like 2025 or 2026 still? after starfield, etc.? its like to the point where the remaster mod will need a remaster before it even launches.
I mean for me it doesn’t have to be an insane update. Current Skyrim play would be good.. meet me in the middle of current gen stuff and those games. Which is basically Skyrim.
regardless, they've been in development so long and still aren't releasing for a while from what i recall. almost seems like a pipe dream at this point.
I've never played this game but lost a big chunk of time to The Witcher 3. How does this compare to that? Would I enjoy it if I liked TW3?
I think so. Witcher probably has a better story and more depth, but I like the world and mechanics of Skyrim better. I think you would
Now that my heavy armor and two hand is beefed up, time to start building up magic and one hand. Off to the magic college and then will join the thieves guild.
my friends always said it was less polished the witcher 3. i refused to play witcher because i didn't want them to be right and ruin my love of skyrim.
The side quest are better in W3 and characters. In W3 you are playing a character and in sky rim you are building a silent whatever you want. Both are great games
Skyrim and Witcher 3 are both pinnacles of what they were meant to portray. Skyrim is the ultimate blank slate sandbox game; your imagination is your guide on who and what you become. W3 is more like a great novel that allows you to be the protagonist and add in whatever small flourishes you want to an already established lore. Comparing them is silly and pointless.
well my friends are idiots. i did lover the first season of witcher on netflix (didn't see more yet).
Best follower? Went and grabbed talvas fathryon who I never had follow in past play througs. He lights folks up. My new #1
I fired up a game I started on survival and hadn’t played in about a year and was very surprised that Ysolda was living in my house already. That’s always the one. I don’t use any companions because I’ll likely kill them accidentally
I'd love a mod with all the NPC's saying random flavortown lines. I almost spit my coffee out when I saw Nazeem dressed like that. And yes he must die every playthrough.
Maybe Oblivion or just Elder Scrolls in general, but Skyrim has no chance of being adapted unless a studio is willing to throw GoT type of budget at it to show dragons. There's also no way to portray shouts in a realistic way that doesn't come off as either completely silly or reality breaking level of OP.
