I thought they were gonna win that game in regulation after hitting Kupp on the long ball. They really fucked up the rest of that possession.
Gonna need Snead to use his mid-late round drafting wizardry to get us a FG kicker we can have for the next decade plus. Going from Matt Gay to this season has been atrocious. And a new ST coach as well.
We pretty much gave that game away. I definitely wasn't expecting a playoff appearance at the beginning of the season with Kupp hurt, Stafford coming off a serious injury, and a defense full of young guys. Just shows how good McVay and Les are at their jobs.
Stafford missed the GB game and Kyren missed 4 games. It’s a weird team because we could legit have 2 more wins when healthy, but I don’t think we’re a very good team. But, Stafford is fucking dealing.
At full strength I would say we have a top 5 offense in the league defensively we are below average Special teams are the worst in the fucking league so yeah I'd say that checks out. I thought we'd be contending for a top 5 pick before the season started, so making the playoffs already makes this year a success. Plus Stafford (knock on wood) should be ending the season healthy and rejuvenated and also McVay has reason to want to stick around for more.
that just makes me think of Moss's rookie year, that was a level of special I'm not sure we'll ever see again relative to what the rest of the league looked like
The fact Bill Groman did it in 14 games in an era where the forward pass was not important is actually insane
I'm not sure how to process an offseason where we will potentially have cap space and a 1st round pick
Just don’t have the horses on D outside of one guy. The rookies played well by 5th round standards but this was never a playoff caliber defense
McVay’s never been a great red zone play caller unfortunately. But a great foundation with $40mm in cap room and an actual R1 draft pick!
