All these schools that he goes to or that pay kids or cheat, recruit whatever, are they public schools or private. I understand down south football is a completely different monster than somewhere like Iowa or even Minnesota but holy shit it just seems like schools act like yeah we cheat but you can’t catch us. No way a public school up here would get away with the shit that happens down there.
Outside of the last one, which I don’t believe he ever coached a game at, they are public. The boosters pay most of the salary.
Why should he try and do thing’s quietly? He’s never been really punished. Someone else will hire him.
possible coaching replacements, the asshole caught on live tv punching a player: https://www.atlantanewsfirst.com/20...-atlanta-strikes-player-sideline-during-game/
I get that this was his son and whatever but this seems par for the course and I'm kinda surprised he hasn't gone over the line with the wrong kid who doesn't care about Propst's perceived "status" and would go right back at Propst. If he'd gotten that job at Bama under Saban would've been a matter of time before he was an asshole to the wrong kid and ended up in the "fuck around and find out" territory with at least a black eye.
Aside from the obvious, it’s the realization that that dude has a 15/16 year old son that does it for me.
He would have definitely ended up getting his ass beat like Trickett. I played for my dad (fun fact: rush tried to hire him a while back) and it makes me sick seeing people justify it because it was his son. I was quite the dick when I played, and still never had to worry about him doing anything like that.
Propst’s wife, Stefnie, was also on the sideline during the game. Stefnie Propst serves the Pell City football team as secretary and nutritionist. What a name
Going to be a great day when we read about the kid kicking the shit out of him humiliating your son in front of thousands of people is going to do wonders for him. Great job
I'm pretty sure it was a long time ago, because it's a story I heard a good bit in the late 90s or early 2000's. Apparently a lineman got physical with him and the next day he showed up to practice wearing a tool belt with 2 hammers in it. I'd assume that would have been something that happened back in his early WVU days. Edit: or it could be a tall tale. The worst I ever saw him do was grab people by the facemask and yank them down to his level so he could cuss them out.
maybe, maybe not. But my trophy case looks a hell of a lot better than R Kansas’ I saw him beat the helmet of a massive lineman with his ball cap like a dog who tracked poop on new carpet and I have no idea how this dude didn’t choke slam him more
