it’s great if you love local reporters that are just mouthpieces for the local PDs and whatever dregs are circulating in the right wing media sphere.
Bammers probably dont like Al.com because it was mildly skeptical of UA’s sham investigation of Brandon Miller delivering a gun to a murder scene.
I've learned to not look at my phone the last 2 or 3 minutes of games because ESPN is super shitty and tries to push results out before it happens on most broadcasts. Add it to the long list of reasons ESPN is harmful to the sports they cover.
It’s a nothing burger anyways. Think the D did more than enough to win. If you hold a team in modern CFB to 20 in regulation, you should win that game.
This seems weird for a coach to say. He had four weeks to prepare for a team that huddles and changes personnel every play all season, and he and his staff couldn't figure out how to signal the players during that time? I'm confused.
Probably a much tighter timeline to try to sub and get into a look. Teams that don’t huddle and sub give defenses a huge amount of time to figure out what they want to do.
You have 20+ seconds to sub. You don't get to immediately see the formation, but you know the personnel groupings for 20+ seconds when a team huddles, generally speaking.
Everyone has their tricks to hide formations. We shift and motion constantly. Everyone does something to make it harder presnap. Weird to say that tripped you up
Let's not forget too that we are near or at the bottom in terms of pace so they had a really long time to figure out our personnel and get a play in
Many people are asking when the SEC will evolve to catch up to the huddle offenses of the new era of football
You guys are just lucky we had a has been as our coach last year. Can you imagine if you guys faced DeBoer with Alabama's talent????? Would have been as ass whooping.
But we were being held back by our NFL-dreaming head coach, and as we know, our new coach is already undeated against Ohio State and someone with a long history of winning road games against Top 10 teams (1-0). Saban and DeBoer are lucky Moore wasn't coaching the playoff games or it could have been ugly for them.
And that's with at least 3 underclassmen who definitely would have been drafted but stayed in school (Rod Moore, Josiah Stewart and Donovan Edwards).
Michigan dudes.... what are your thoughts on Sabb? he is going to play a lot for us this year. Is there any chance Will Johnson goes to the portal?
Sabb is good and was coming along. Next year he would have been the third safety but probably getting close to starter reps but he still would be third. This year he was splitting time as the third. The two starters both returning next year cause him to bail. Some rumblings that he’s a one and done type though. He’ll do well, he’s one that hurts to lose. anything’s possible on WJ but I’d think he’d at least give it to end of spring. We hired a well regarded DB coach so hopefully that keeps him in the fold ultimately. But this day and age I don’t think any player on any team is really safe.
Similar situation to Drew Sanders for us a few years back. Was behind Will Anderson and Dallas Turner and knew he was a high level starter somewhere so transferred and balled out at Arkansas. Hope being on the other end of it works out as well for us.
