Currently in a text message debate with someone named Jennifer (probably a bot) about the merits of Kansas’ pending vote regarding abortion. This will most certainly end with my identity being sold on the black market.
While still a word salad, the middle column does give a much better perspective of what a yes/no vote means than the question itself.
^ This should be all out war in the media with the Ds explaining what the Rs have done over the last several decades to put women in this jeopardy. But alas..
Everyone that still associates themselves with the Republican Party deserves to shipped off to an island and confined there for the rest of their lives. And not a good island either. Like one of the Aleutian Islands.
Snake island is the only answer and most should have their Achilles slashed or a leg broken before being dropped off
I’m probably late to the party here but this has to be some rationalization for whammy to convince himself he’s not being exploited cuz he’s too smart
Me, a white collar worker My boss going over yearly financials for my small department: “so our average profit per employee is about $102k” Whammy: you are not labor cuz you work inside in a computer. I do not Stan you.
imagine extracting 2.5x the median salary per capita and being like uh actually that isn’t labor because you don’t have a wrench, I’m a serious person
Also in seriousness this weird who counts as working class talking point just showed up recently and RWNJs downloaded it. Wonder who started it? It seems very fash as it accepts the basic premise of socialism but then is like actually there are levels and only the most miserable (absent) workers get to talk about it.
Whammy creates his own definition of things and then decides he's the ultimate truth teller. It's fascinating to watch
Do you ever question if citing 19th century material to justify your arguments is a little....I don't know, silly? The framework you use was built for a largely agrarian, peasant-dominated country run by a hyper-authoritarian monarch. Update your mental models IMO. 21st century Americans making 90k with a house, family, and takes a handful of vacations per year aren't oppressed labor, I don't care about 19th century models about surplus value extraction lol. Yes - I don't have sympathy for people making high five / six figures, working 10 hours / week.
