Anyone else watch Final Table on Netflix? Might be one of my favorite cooking competition shows in a while.
The dad/grandad relationship is gold. The blonde friend who always freaks out is the only character I get annoyed with, otherwise they're all great.
https://www.vulture.com/2019/01/andrea-savage-im-sorry-season-two-interview.html Watch 1st season on netflix, 2nd season starts tonight on TruTV.
Watched the 1st season. Andrea Savage is a delight but the show wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be. Shorts guy bit was pretty good though.
Their handling of all the death talk on this week's episode Y I K E S I K E S Spoiler Not that I would know any better
Y: The Last Man TV series is finally happening with FX ordering it to series https://deadline.com/2019/02/fx-ord...-the-last-man-diane-lane-star-tca-1202549138/
So I've been in a post apocalyptic sci fi kick recently. Birdbox, the girl with all the gifts, annihilation. Are there any good series like that, not your walking dead but kinda make you think type shows
It sounds weird but I really like infection, outbreak, contagion, Richard Preston books, I like some zombie stuff if there is scientific reasons and stuff. I am legend was interesting.
The first episode was hard for me to get through with the shitty score it had. I quit the first time but gave it another try and just powered through it.
I thought it started out strong. The premise of the show (or the pilot at least) really hooked me in. I liked it but got stale after a few seasons. I think I made it into the 3rd or 4th season.
Alright, alright, I saw her! And she was beautiful in that bra! I'm crazy about her! I love her whole free swinging, free wheeling attitude!
Anyone else watch Temptation Island? Damn that shit was surprisingly interesting. Girls were so much hotter than Bachelor ones too.
Started this last night. I didn't realize A24 was in the tv/web series game. Definitely reminds me of Master of None/High Maintenance.
A24 actually had a show on USA a few years ago that I liked a good bit called Playing House. Lasted like 3 seasons. Most of their TV stuff has not done well as far as ratings and staying power though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A24_(company)#Television
I didn't know about that series. Ramy is pretty good. But I'm highly curious how some of you will feel about the series.
I knocked out the final season of this series two nights ago. Talk about a bit soul-crushing at times. Yet, very realistic when it comes to intimate relationships. Apparently, Netflix was not a fan of how Joe Swanberg's process of crafting this series. So they both decided to cut ties with one another.
Forged In Fire on History Channel has been fun programming for when I've been lying around and wanting something mindless four bladesmiths make weapons out of random materials and then the final two get sent back to their home base with five days to make an assigned weapon type. Most of the participants are super skilled and it's pretty neat seeing how they shape metal to their liking aside from some of those survival type shows (Ultimate Survival Alaska, Survivorman, Alone) this is the only reality show I can recall enjoying
Comic book series Paper Girls from Brian K. Vaughan is coming to Amazon Prime https://uproxx.com/hitfix/paper-girls-amazon/ This joins Y: The Last Man (coming soon to FX) and Marvel's Runaways as Vaughan comics being adapted to TV. Now someone needs to adapt Saga and We Stand On Guard and we'll really have a stew going.
Currently watching an Australian show called Underbelly. I'm on season 2 and it's p fucking good so far. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1119176/ Each season of this multi award winning Television series takes you through a 13 episode run in the rise and fall of real life Australian underworld figures as told from both sides of the law. As each new season unfolds you are in a different time period and City with new Crime Bosses and the Police that try to bring them to justice.
Another Australian show is Mystery Road. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2236054/ They show it on that Acorn channel/app. The show is a spinoff of the movie of the same name and Goldstone. Pretty good show if I must say. Season 2 finishes up on Sunday.
I've been on an Australian kick lately and they have some pretty good shows. Secret City The Code Deep Water The Kettering Incident Not sure where they stream but you can torrance them.
Giri Haji is a Japanese British show that I just started watching. Interesting so far and heard good things about it.
