Look here buddy. I don't read this thread when I'm playing. If you were busy or don't wanna play just send a message through the game. It's pretty easy and quick and everyone does it. Or block me. Doesn't matter to me.
You're taking my posts too seriously, I was half kidding. That said, it comes off as pestering when you send me a new invite every 10 minutes. So don't please. It notifies me when you invite, even if it's one time.
I sent you one when I logged on and one when we were trying to raid. Anything after that was because everyone said you were gonna block me so why not fuck with you? I just assume no one pays attentions to a notification after about 10 seconds. I know I don't.
This post is confirmation of the Challenge Modes, not a Guide or best ways to complete them - I have attached guides already created should you require / be interested. Links below Templar Challenge COMPLETE - Done by blocking each teleport phase. Relic was only held by 1 Guardian throughout this phase - No other mechanics changed Templar Challenge Mode Guide w/ Video - Credit to u/RegisterVexOffender for the video and text guide - for any feedback / questions on this, please follow the link and direct it towards it's creator SGA Teleport can be blocked by Guardians, not just the Relic holder by standing in his teleport 'circle' which appears before he goes Atheon Challenge COMPLETE - When teleported, each Guardian can only kill 1 Oracle. There are 6 Oracles total on Mars / Venus. This means, the Guardians who DO NOT get teleported initially must go INSIDE the portal (Leaving someone outside to keep it open) to kill an Oracle each to complete the Challenge - In addition to this, if a Guardian dies without killing an Oracle first and you DO NOT kill Atheon, Challenge Failed as that would mean there isn't a 6th for an Oracle Atheon Challenge Mode Guide w/ Video- Credit to u/RegisterVexOffender for the video and text guide - for any feedback / questions on this, please follow the link and direct it towards it's creator SGA Aegis blast can kill an Oralce (Relic Holder SGA)
Wait if there are 6 Oracles inside and each guardian can only kill 1 oracle, does that mean one person kills an oracle, runs outside and the person outside runs in?
When I win you have to come to Nashville and get drunk with me and the million bachelorette parties that are here every week.
Also if you win you have to tell everyone I've gotten better and I'm not horrible at crucible anymore.
Decided to give the crucible bounties a go for the age of triumph quest. 2 games so far and been mercy ruled both times. Off to a great start.
The Atheon challenge doesn't look too difficult to me I've watched multiple streamers take him down in one damage phase.
i think they're talking about the oracles though. each person has to get an oracle kill? that sounds impossible.
Nope. One person grabs relic and kills the adds at the bottom of the stairs and then kills the 3rd oracle. The other 2 shoot the first oracle and whoever it says kills the 1st takes a couple of pot shots at the 2nd and lets the other person finish it off. They get cleansed and head out as 2 of the other 3 outside head in. They basically do the same thing as 1 & 2 did for oracles 4 & 5. The 6th stays out and works on adds as 1 & 2 come out and work on adds as well (from the time plate pillar). 6 goes in and destroys the last oracle as the relic holder heads to the middle to put up his cleansing bubble. Everyone to the middle and damage. Easy peasy Japanesey. Most people are using Sleeper Simulants and snipers on Atheon. Throw in a tether and WoL and it's quick work.
I mean I'm down to try. Just not sure how frustrated everyone will get if it doesn't go well. Hell I'm down to do more Croata raid's too. Still haven't done the Deathsinger challenge.
2 Sunsingers 2 Hunters (Nighthawks for both if possible, if not at least a nighthawk and tether) -- Nighthawk does about 40% damage to gorgons 2 Titans using melting point and simmering flames on hammers The ideal setup to take out each gorgon is.... 1) Isolate each gorgon by themselves away from the rest even if it takes time to set it up 2) Have a titan with melting point go aggro and punch the gorgon 3) Once your titan has applied melting point, have him go BEHIND the gorgon. this is to make sure that a gorgon is not going to float against a wall (because it will bounce and that will get you killed) Once you are behind it you can all proceed to DPS 4) Have a hunter use golden gun with nighthawk on the gorgon once the melting point has been applied (if you have your super) 5) Once the melting point/tether is applied, use exotic swords to maximize damage and more importantly ammo count (ammo plays a big part in how long you'll be doing this for) Raze lighter is the best but dark drinker can get the job done aswell. Avoid using bolt caster. If you have the radegast artifact, i would highly suggest putting that on as it gives you an extra 20 sword ammo that can be crucial. Once you are on low ammo count for your swords, it is best to wait for your synths to come back and to also have your nighthawks lined up in tune with having ammo and such. rinse and repeat these steps with each gorgon and you will eventually accomplish this annoying feat of clearing the maze of all gorgons.
I'm good tonight as well. Gf is at her parents so I'm gonna jack off then get on and play. Naked. And oily.
Took me about 2.5 hours but finally knocked out one bounty. I'm by no means good at crucible but I don't understand how I get matched with the shitty team 80% of the time
Definitely worth a try. My issues as relic holder involved damage received from the Templar, especially getting to a teleport spot and putting up the shield that would disappear as he was shooting me. And then rezzing when I died ridiculously far away from the relic instead of right on top of it. If that's the case, a Titan should just run relic because they can scoot from one teleport spot to the next waaaaay faster than a warlock can.
Also, I don't like how they kept warlocks as basically useless in this raid other than having self-res :(
looks like potentially if there's a bubble back there where the relic runner can run through on the way around getting a blessing of light might help a little with the damage he takes. Maybe it might draw some of the Templar's fire, as well.
Atheon isn't terrible once you get the timing down. Honestly the best way to show people is just do a couple of attempts instead of trying to explain in too much detail. So far in two full runs 2 Visions (Adept) 1 Praedyth's Time piece (Adept) 1 Fatebringer (Adept) 1 Praedyth's Time piece 1 Found Verdict 1 Corrective Measure The armor seems much rarer than Crota, all I've gotten 2 Warlock helmets (used knuckles) 1 Titan arms Class item for titan and hunter No new shader and no Vex
We went all the way to Atheon last night but some of us had to go by then. I ended up with a Adept Vision and a Hezan's Vengeance (which would be awesome if it tracked).
Sorry I didn't get the Vision, I think tmaxwell did. I got the Adept Atheon's Epilogue. By god I can't wait till the next strike that has void burn!
I have a 400 thorn. I've had that for awhile. I just suck using hand cannons so I never use it. No one got Fatebringer (either regular or adept). I got the adept epilogue, maxwell got the adept vision, slim got adept preadyth's timepieces (that's the pulse rifle right?). Can't remember what Boyd Crowder or rust got. Armor wise I know slim got the gauntlets, I'm not sure who else got something. Also Keef i keep forgetting your PSN name, we should have invited you when we were 5 person fighting the templar. It seems a lot of names are missing off the thread for PSN names.
Macallan80 myself and 3 others from my normal raid team will be doing a run at some point this afternoon/tonight. I can check with you guys if yall are around and want to fill two of the spots. Warning they are a little erratic, but very good players.
