I'm a side sleeper too and my shoulder pain has been significantly less severe since getting ours. Lol at that thing caving in. It's perfect. Buy one.
$100 on prime, arrived today, look nice as far as build quality, install could be interesting, Subaru makes headlights only a monkey could work on.
Not sure what all equipment you have. But if you torrance, I would recommend Logic Pro. Not sure how expensive the real copy is My roommate has a setup like yours. Keys, bass, two guitars, synth machine and has it all connected to his laptop. He just started really doing it, but he can make a pretty good sounding song in one evening after work.
Need to buy a putter, anyone have a Scotty Cameron and care to advise? I was planning on going cheap with a White Smoke Taylormade but my cunty golf friends said otherwise.
That's like grabbing a really good microbrew and your friends telling you that you suck because its not a limited batch. Cunty indeed.
Buy what feels best. Scotty's are by no means the end-all of putters, no matter what the fan boys will tell you.
I'd buy whatever putter you're comfortable with. I've played with Camerons, PING, Odyssey, zebra and thought they were great putters. I use a TP Mills now and love it
No one gets all cunty if you are making putts. Find what you like best. I would suggest hitting some new putters and then going to a 2nd hand sporting goods store and see if you can find a couple of older ones to play around with.
I mean they are surely great, but the best string of putting I ever had was with a flatstick similar to what Phil uses that was a Wilson that was 40 years old. Putting is so much mental and form that you give Jordan Spieth a shitty putter and he still is going to do a hell of a lot better than the average person. I play with a Odyssey white hot #2 right now. It's a damn good putter as well, but never have I been on the streak I was the first summer I used that shitty old Wilson.
My Casper comes in tomorrow and I will provide a review on it for those wondering. I heard about Casper mattresses on this website last weekend and pulled the trigger Monday. If you need a referal PM me.
Buy the putter that feels, looks, and performs the best for you. I'm a Scotty fanboy but the only thing that matters is what gets it in the hole.
So what is supposed to be so great about a Scotty Cameron? The weight distribution and it helping your stroke plane?
Btw in college I bought one and lost it in a few months. Pretty sure it got jacked but I'm the worst putter possible so if you're going to lybo at someone then I'm your man.
Here's some unsubstantiated history http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/136238-tp-mills-scottys/ In theory Scotty's work is the improved version of classic designs. In practice it's about what fits your style of play and your budget. I've got a few TP Mills because I'm the kind of person who foolishly digs his heels in to protest the original inventors when in actuality Scotty's putters are likely as good if not better all around. Also, Scotty knows how to market: TP Mills does not. The story goes that TP Milld was the only maker ballsy enough to not only not give pros his putters in exchange for free advertising, but he had the nerve to charge them full price. This includes the Golden Bear who was said to prefer a Mills putter but refused to pay.
Bought last years Odyssey Metal X Milled Versa #1 a couple weeks back. It's a little heavier than what I'm used to but the ball comes off the face so smoothly. Bought it from one of RS's teaching buddies from Long Island.
The guy that kills it off the tee but has pitching/chipping issues? I'm thinking it's the guy I met a few weeks ago
Anyone have good rec's for wireless headphones to watch tv with? My girlfriend is tired of the sound waking her up
I have these for the exact reason you mention. Cool thing about them is you can use that hockey puck as a transmitter off of anything like a phone, ipod etc. Get good rechargeable batteries though. the batteries they come with are shit. You can add to the system by buying separate headphones but it makes more sense to spend the extra $20 for another puck too if you go that route. http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-RS-160-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B002SOU2Y0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1455926551&sr=1-1&keywords=Sennheiser RS 160 RF Wireless Headphones
You hard wire to the output on your phone/TV/etc. from the puck. The puck sends the sounds to your headphones. The cool thing about the puck is when it's plugged in it acts as a charging station for your headphones as well as a transmitter, but the puck also has batteries so you can wire up the puck to a standard output (phone, ipod etc.) and take your act on the road. It works really well if you carry a soft briefcase or a backpack regularly but stacked the whole thing could fit in a coat pocket that it had to itself. You can wirelessly connect multiple sets of headphones to one puck. Of course maintaining a line of site is best but I've left the room to take a leak and still gotten sound in the bathroom down the hall about 15-20 feet away through plaster walls. In my situation I use these a lot in the summer to watch TV in bed because I have noisy window AC units. It's either use headphones or have the volume cranked so nobody on the top floor can sleep. I have 2 sets of headphones and my wife and I can watch TV without disturbing the kids through the walls. And if I don't want to watch some shit she's watching I just take off my headphones and roll over. I mean, I wouldn't workout with these or anything but for around the house or on a trip I think they're terrific. YouTube video begins after unboxing segment just in case I'm doing a shitty job explaining. youtu.be/iVJO1kog7tU?t=6m36s
