I have a 89 dratini at lvl 26 and a 98 dratini at lvl 20. Thats a difference of almost 40 candy and 50k dust to max out 38 CP apart at my level.

I stopped after water event. I haven't quit but needed a break. I'll prob come back during the summer, I'm sure they'll have a good anniversary event.
I moved recently so my route to work and back is less than 2k round trip so my motivation for the game is way down. They need a big event soon and gen 3 by the summer or I feel I'm really just gonna stop playing altogether
Gym overhaul is the next big thing, I expect it'll probably be in the coming month or two. No clue what to expect. Could make what we've worked for entirely worthless if they fuck it up. I mean the good thing about this game is the ability to put it down and not really be worse off than you were before. You could stop playing until gen 3 and you'll really not be worse for wear.
Meatball's biggest wish is where you can battle someone one on one and set parameters like how many Pokémon you can use and what types, etc. he wants to use guys that you would never use in a gym. Which makes sense since I've only used maybe 12 different Pokémon in my limited gym experience
legendaries dropping is the only thing keeping me going. i've stopped putting my 3 strongest mons in gyms in case i gotta use them for mewtwo
Pretty much giving up on the game after receiving Up-Grade, Dragon Scale, Dragon Scale, Up-Grade, Dragon Scale on my last 5 7-day spins. For fucks sake.
I agree the game is just to frustrating at times. You bust your ass just to hatch something that means nothing at all. Every gym I go to lately is lvl 10 and first fight is 2800+. My biggest frustration is the spinning white ball, on my way home from work I go through a small downtown area that has 5 stops in 3 blocks. My daughter drives now so I always turn on the game and probably 8 out 10 days I get nothing because of the spinning white ball. Happens at my Publix a bunch too. Missed out on a Snorlax too because of that shit.
Latest apk teardown seems to suggest good things. One is there may soon be a max number of species at a gym (so no more 8-10 Blissey gyms) which will diversify stuff although could also potentially weaken the fuck out of gyms. The second is push notifications have been overhauled and there is stuff now in the code to suggest that you may be able to participate as a defender. Apparently this happens in Ingress already. What would happen is someone attacks a gym and you get a push notification about it and have the ability to maybe feed a berry to regain some HP or something of the sort and in turn maybe earn XP for actively defending.
If they were able to stop the cheaters then I would have stayed playing daily. When there were gyms getting ripped down and rebuilt with no one around with 35+ level players (when I was level 25 playing daily & my office was on a pokestop) - it turned me off completely. Fix that and find a way to ban the people who cheated and I'm back in and addicted again.

Hatched a 96 Dratini. Evolved to a Dragonite with Dragon tail/Outrage. Been a good 6 weeks for me despite playing a lot less
