With the zero percent financing they offer it makes it easier to get, although you’re tied in for 38 months.
Eagle has landed and is assembled. Heading to dinner with a buddy from out of town otherwise I would try and get a ride in, can't wait to try tomorrow. Do I have to wait to do a ride to link it to my Strava? a.tramp
You don’t have to ride first. A page or two back I linked the instructions on how to link both accounts but that was from the Peloton bike monitor. I don’t know if that works from the app but it should.
I have mountain & road shoes... I assume Peloton has proprietary shoes/clips & I'll have to get another pair?
Did my first ride last night. Daniel Ocean is right. Emma is great. Did a beginner ride. Going to try out a beginner ride with each instructor.
I don't have one and was under that same impression but their getting started page says that is an option.
Nope. They even point out that one of the pedals is reverse threaded, prefect for calling out for shimano pedals to clip onto with some sick $600+ cycling cleats
Yeah they are just look delta and easily changed. The guy at the showroom told me I could swap them out easily if I wanted to. Luckily nothing from Peloton is over priced. The bike quality is great and is easily a $1500 gym quality spin bike. Unlimited spin clssses can run $200 per person a month so $40 for 4 a month isn’t bad. She has a great smile. I love her energy too. Kinda hung over so I am going to see if she has an easy 15-20 class so I can sweat this shit out and hit my 100 mile goal for the week.
$39/month for unlimited classes, for the family, is great value. Just trying to determine what, if any accessories are worthwhile
All you really need is the heart rate monitor. Buy a cheap mat from amazon, headphones are pretty shit, the weights are a waste, and if you already have the shoes you’re good to go.
I have a heart monitor, so that isn't necessary. My wife needs shoes. I'm trying to determine if it's cheaper for me to swap out the pedals to match my road bike, or for me to just get a cheap pair dedicated to the Peloton & use the $100 promo on getting the wife the Peloton shoes.
Took a Dennis class yesterday. I will check the date and name but there was a lady with some tits a swinging in the second row.
I went with the shoes and mat. The weights are worth while but you can get them cheaper other places. The Bluetooth headphones are not too bad but I already had some. I have the Apple Watch which I use as my heart rate monitor.
You have the series three right? The series two watch is garbage for me when being used as a HR monitor. I use a Wahoo HR monitor and its money. Also thank you for the reccomendation on the Cadence Sensor, great idea and it is working like a charm. I used zipties to mount it and now i am wondering how the fuck I will change the battery on this bitch when it dies...
Called them & they have alternative 0% financing offers not available on the website. Bike & 2 year subscription + 3 months free. The 3 year is basically the same price, but I'm afraid of commitment
I have 8lb weights that fit in the holders under the seat. Those bitches get heavy towards the end of arms.
I did the 3 year thing. 0% made it a no brainer. I like working out. I assume I’ll still have the bike in 3 years and without the classes it won’t make sense to have the bike.
You get 3 free months for everything over 2 years, so no incentive to commit for more. I'll have the bike paid off before then, so will just roll with the $39/month fee on month 28. It's a wash with 0% though (unless they increase subscription cost)
There was a ride I took earlier in the year where the instructor wore one of those 80s leatard thong thing over tights.
a.tramp how do the apps you use measure elevation? That’s the one thing I wish Peloton would fix/update
