I follow several instructors on social and it always makes me very curious how well they get paid by Peloton plus other sponsors. It looks like Olivia just got married at Adare Manor in Ireland, which runs upwards of €1,200 per night and is a future Ryder Cup (golf) venue. I struggle to even begin to ballpark that wedding cost
They all make like 2-300k base plus a bunch more in endorsements and stuff. The popular ones bring in over a mill.

Ride #500 will be tomorrows 90s rock with Emma at 5 est if anyone wants to join. Had to delete a few old rides to line it up but wanted to do live class for 500.
I did the Jess King metal ride yesterday and there was a live leaderboard so I did that..it ended up being me and one other person that beat my by ~100 output points. I watched his stats a lot during the ride and he was never in the cadence band and always way above the resistance band. He basically just did like 68 resistance and like 65-70 cadence the entire ride. His final number was great, and I’m sure he’s burning a lot of calories so kudos to him. I didn’t know people ride like this.
I’ll be on too. It will be my 2600th ride. Hit a PR yesterday in a 60 minute ride. Hopefully the 24 hours of rest will be enough my legs were feeling a little dead this morning. How are you doing FightNirish1988 ? I know that after next Sunday I’m taking a couple days off the bike lol
Had to do some lighter days this week, my legs have been tightening up. I’m pretty OCD so I’m going to hate seeing my 30-day stats decrease after this month lol, but I think this has showed me that doing 400, 500 or even 600 miles is completely attainable. I say we take next month at our own pace and do this again in September. Will look to be on the 5pm ride tomorrow with y’all
Some days when something heavy is on my mind I'll take a metal or punk ride and just zone out with a heavy cadence for 30 minutes and trudge through mud and take my mind off of it. I find it could be a good alternative to following the ride sometimes
this month has been hella fun. It reminded me of when I use to train for long distance runs. I forget how hungry you get. I been constantly eating but still haven’t gained a pound lol. I liked it but I need to do some strength training too. I think 400-500 would be a sweet spot for me to strive for so I can still do strength classes besides just core. I know this month has gotten me into better shape. Hitting a PR on a 60 minute ride after what I’ve done so far felt awesome. I was thinking of taking a couple months at our own pace but fuck it we can do it again in September. It would be cool if a few more joined in.

Apple Watch users: Do any of y’all ever have issues with your fitness tracker double counting calories after a ride? My exercise time isn’t doubled, but my watch adds both the workout apple and Peloton’s calories. Peloton’s are super inflated so I’d like to only capture the workout’s. My process is as follows: Start an Indoor Cycle workout Complete a peloton ride Share to Strava from the tablet after the ride Anybody else experience this? Any solutions? I’ve googled but nothing has helped.
Don’t begin a ride with the workout app. Add the Peloton app to your phone/watch. It will sync with the bike and capture workout detail.
Yeah this is how I do it and haven’t had an issue. I’ve also found that the peloton app tends to show more calories burned than the apple workout app. I suspect peloton is more accurate as it has heart rate data factored in.
I disagree with Peloton being more accurate calorie wise. There is no way I burn more riding than I do running, which is what Peloton would have me believe. That’s why I would rather go with Apple. I may just unsync my watch from Peloton.
