My family is celebrating my birthday early since my fiancee and I are having a parent escape next weekend so if I get on it will be later tonight.
Finally got my build a but more optimized. Switched to an anomaly build that shreds shit. I can't stand the boring volcanic rounds build so I'm glad I finally got the new one to work. Grinding out the hunting and bounty quests to get my WT up helped too. Went from 7-11 in an hour or so. Got up to CT8 from 4.
Yeah once I get the right mods and weapons leveled up I can't wait to get rid of this VR build and make an ash one
CT4 was whooping my ass trying to solo. Ran through a few with some randoms last night. Was pretty fun.
Gave up on this game. Fun concept, terrible end game execution. They should've learned from diablo while they were copying it
I mostly play solo and it was way too punishing with no reward. They got close to a great game but that end game was just terribly designed.
I'd be OK with the timers if they would let you die and continue with a time penalty for a rez. Had several where I'd get to the end, beat the boss but get sniped by some flying trash mob and not get shit for a reward.
Might be too little too late but at least they just didn't give up like Anthem Thank god no more expedition timers
I binged this game when it came out, loved redoing missions, and then hated it once it hit end game. Boring and dull.
I thought the creators had said how they were big fans of diablo... Then made the exact same mistakes blizzard did with diablo 3. How the fuck did they play their endgame mode and think it was fun? Especially getting punished trying to do it solo. And the abysmal drop rates for anything good. Not like there is a trading system where rarity makes sense.
bought on steam sale last night cuz i was curious how this game was, heard worldslayer upgrade was going to fix a lot of issues and be good... guess we will see. just started playing up until first mission to rescue jakub last night but was amazed at how many cutscenes and loading screens there were. first hour was all that. cutscene > walk 50 feet> another cutscene > talk to person > cutscene. very off putting but once combat started it was better. hoping they fixed a lot over past year and with new dlc out today. we shall see...
yeah, the initial story stuff is kinda overloaded and the story and characters are dumb anyway, but the combat is fun. Loot is fun, crafting weapons, etc. Just ignore whenever they talk. I'm a little bit into Worldslayer and it's more Outriders, but I haven't really noticed anything they've added to it. I'm assuming all the talk about improvements are about the endgame stuff, which I haven't gotten to yet. I've had a lot of drops (the game isn't shy about giving you a lot of shit) but nothing that approaches the legendary weapon I got at the end of the original campaign so everything is getting trashed and I don't feel any different than I did when I finished the campaign last year. And I didn't even do any farming of the endgame stuff to get the much better stuff than that which were available. edit: that comes off like I don't like the game, I honestly do. The gameplay is fun and I enjoyed the loot stuff. But I haven't found their endgame model to be a lot of fun and was satisfied to leave it where I did at the end of the original campaign. I'll probably feel the same about the expansion, it's just that so far I haven't equipped anything new that has dropped vs constantly changing my load out in the base game as it progressed.
is most endgame content necessary/highly recommended to have multiple co-op players or can you solo all that stuff fairly easily? i know nothing about endgame for this game other than people don't/didn't like it. was hoping it wasn't destiny model of you pretty much have to have a fireteam for most raids, dungeons, etc. also -- matchmaking?
I really enjoyed the game after the new horizon patch. Got worldslayer yesterday, haven't played much yet. Pretty much immediately found a legendary gun with a pretty interesting apocalypse mod or w/e it's called. I'm on apocalypse 16 and it's pretty tough with a fairly good build that I could solo the old tier 14/15 with
The endgame for WorldSlayer doesn't scale down based off the number of players, so if you do solo you will be facing the equivalent of a 3 man mission.
My pyro sucks after the patch so I switched over to techno. The minigun is absolutely broken right now. Basically face tank everything, and leech enough life that you never take damage
If you have toxic on the minigun you won't need the quartermaster mod. Played in a group earlier where another technomancer had a mod for his turrets that they refreshed your magazine. On the bosses he'd just toss a turret at me and I'd never run out of ammo. Insane. Probably not long before they nerf the status power converting into minigun damage. Another fun exploit - rush to the final boss, beat him then return to lobby without leaving the room. Rinse and repeat until you run out of tries.
Really enjoyed this game but got very very stale in the end-game. Is it worth re-downloading and playing the new content? Will a previous character (I think it was the blue themed character) that was reasonably min/maxed be able to hop right into this new stuff? Are teammates required? Also what's the style is it raid or just mission based? Thanks
DLC should have been $20 max. Story is fun, but very short. End game is just the same exact run over and over again. but I have been enjoying it, lol
Is this the thread for discussing Remnant: From the Ashes? Just started it with a buddy. Difficult, but seems to require farm.
