I am intrigued after first 2, however I see a few questionable things. The boy bad brother? also, every time i see will Patton I only think of
Yeah it was a little too eager to skip the credits and start the next episode. Only watched the first episode so far, but like it enough to continue. I usually like Brolin a lot, though, so there may be some bias. My wife and I spent much of the first episode getting straight if the woman who left was their daughter and that was their son in law or the other way around. We may have missed some dialogue at the beginning or something. But the grandmother dreaming about the mother being back made us think daughter until the second half of the episode.
I love Brolin in the gayest way possible and I love westerns and I love this show after two episodes his prayer was Nas Illmatic bars
All in for this. Is it just that I’m tuned out of things or are a-list series like this kind of under-marketed? Just shows up on prime shows one day and I’m like “ok cool what’s thanos up to out west?”
Depends really. Think a lot of places are pivoting to internet based marketing over tv/commercial/talk show
Aside from sports, I consume approximately zero broadcast content. That’s the “tuned out” part I’m referring to and may suggest they’ve marketed via traditional channels I’m not consuming Don’t recall any web ads for this either though. Don’t wanna turn this into a modern marketing strategy thread though so I’ll end the tangent.
Im so confused after 3 and 4 Spoiler if the hole has been there, how has no one known about it? 1200 acres is big, but it’s a pasture in a family ranch. Someone would’ve come across it Also, if he saw it as a boy, why didn’t he just go look for it again? feel like I’m missing something big
Plot feels arrested, Wayne's character still hasn't developed and this intrigue between Royal and Autumn is getting boring. Eps 3and 4 were a letdown after the first two.
Totally agree on Wayne. Spoiler The only thing I’m sort of confident on is that the Buffalo is Royal and he’s “seen all this before” hence the poker hand. I am also sure that once the story is revealed, you will be able to watch back and see ten things that made the twist obvious. I am only hanging around because of Brolin. None of the other characters have any pull.
Spoiler: Autumn is his granddaughter. She doesn’t remember before 9 yo. The granddaughter is 9. Also royal didn’t like ice cream before 9yo.
idk about that Spoiler think the Buffalo just fell through the hole is all. It’s real, but I don’t think it was actually at the poker game
Yes I've seen this theory and they certainly aren't doing anything to not make you go down that rabbit hole so far. They even look similar.
Two more episodes, and still no idea what is happening Spoiler so this is the trigger for Amy’s mental illness? Was that little kid Rhett climbing out of the hole? I knew the Buffalo was real
there are two episodes left. Both released tomorrow. If there were a bunch more I’d be there with you, but at this point I’ll watch the last 2
These are the worst kind of shows. Good casting and enough intrigue to keep you in. Knowing it's probably crap 1/2 through, but stick it out anyway. What a meh show.
Was season one worth the finish? With idea it moves forward? I couldn’t take it anymore and was really sad about how much I hated it
I guess I’ll see how you review season two and go from there. The show was a huge and sad disappointment for me
got to around ep 6 and lost interest seems to be a consensus among this thread. do they explain anything about the hole and what not the last 2 eps?
Hopefully they give a nice recap. Beacuse I remember kind of liking this, but dont remember much more than 1 or 2 things. (Like that big ass hole)
