Every time this thread gets bumped I get sad that this only got one like because it took me way too long to write.
claires flashbacks blow even though she's got a slutty emo thing going in one of them every paolo scene is terrible. they're trying to hard to make him and nikki a thing so they can do their episode here soon (on s3e10-11) nikki's hot as shit she gets a pass had the desmond blow the dam flashback a couple nights ago. such a good episode.
Mid-season 4. Starting to lose steam. The only good thing that came from the boat is The Constant episode. S4Ep9 opening scene may be one of the best ever. Maybe 45 seconds long when the barracks first get attacked. Just the whole action sequence from 3 Extras coming out to get shot in the exact same manner to Sawyer crouching behind a 3"x3" 2 foot tall fence post to keep from getting shot. Then a rocket launcher blows up 1/3 of Claire's house in the explosion... pan back and the whole house is crispy debris. Funny stuff
Add me to the list of clowns who really needs to rewatch this show. Easily in my top 5 of all time, and I've been around awhile.
Show leaves Netflix on January 4. Haven't seen a single episode. I am taking the challenge and diving in. Not even done with the first episode and I can tell I'm probably getting hooked.
I don't know if I will be able to get it watched in time, have to average 4.3 episodes a day including today, and I'll be behind pace after today. Hopefully I will be able to watch episodes online elsewhere if I don't get it all watched on Netflix in time.
Why is Claire not on season 5 but is on the other 5? I kindly ask you spoiler it if it gives away info for any of the show.
I was just looking up the cast on Wikipedia so I could keep all the names straight and noticed she was listed as starring for 1-4 and 6. So I was curious is apparently she doesn't die in S4
I wish you the best of luck. I didn't watch Lost until the series ended and I watched the whole series in 2 1/2 weeks. I woke up, went to work, watched Lost, slept, repeat. Maybe a bit of a pro tip here... stop yourself mid-episode. I would be watching 6-7 episodes a day and there would be a cliffhanger at the end of an episode and I would be like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu gotta watch the next one. Just create your own stopping points before they start to suck you in with the next twist or whatever.
Michael Giacchino deserves every Emmy or Grammy or Golden Globe for the rest of time for the score to that scene. Lots of the music was exceptional, but if I hear that bit of accompaniment, it remains hard not to get a little emotional to this day - even if the visual isn’t with it. That episode had me captivated unlike any before or since and is not just Top 5 but tops all time for me.
NEver did get around to finishing Lost before it left Netflix, got through 4 seasons. Going to have to renew my Hulu subscription some time and just say fuck it and finish it off even though it allegedly starts to suck.
Be a little optimistic. A lot of the hate the show got came from the people who watched it live and had a week between episodes and several months between seasons to analyze and theorize about every little thing and in the end a lot of that wasn't important and because one thing or another wasn't addressed a lot of people were upset. Also, a lot of people completely misunderstood the ending.
As someone who watched it that way 1) I'll still say that was the best, most fun TV watching experience of my life and I wouldn't change one thing and 2) I still loved much of seasons 5 and 6. It wasn't perfect, but some of my favorite moments of the show came in those last two seasons.
One of the things I do at night when I can’t find anything to watch is putting on a random episode. Netflix doesn’t have it anymore and it’s all wrecked.
lol at the "from the network that brought you Lost" thing as if this show has any connection to Lost.
I'm currently in a rewatch of parks with the gf. Next on the list is LOST. Will be first real rewatch since it ended
I really need to dedicate myself to a re-watch. It's been too long. My favorite original piece of music from the show is from season six...
We started this a couple weeks ago. She's hooked and I'm loving the rewatch. The last episode we watched was the episode where Ethan runs into Claire and Charlie in the jungle "Hello there". It was like 2 am. She has wanted to go to bed after they previous ep, but agreed to watch once I told her it wasn't scary. She was not happy
We've been talking our time (she just passed PhD exams a week ago, so we've been doing an EP every few days or so as a study break). But we're watching Through the looking Glass right now...
Imagine if peak Lost had aired during the current social media climate. Shit would have been bananas on Twitter. #LostTwitter
Also, The Constant was the top ranked episode on The Ringer's 100 Best TV Episodes of the Century list http://besttv.theringer.com/?_ga=2.65778349.2097711687.1533764506-384814078.1469216119
