He was referring to the rumor that he was personally overseeing the reshoots. Still think people are being irresponsible in the way they are reporting about this though. A big budget movie like this having reshoots is not newsworthy. They're built into the schedule and the production budget on the front end. Seeing what works and what doesn't and spending money to correct it doesn't signify a problem to me.
Where the fuck did you get that number from? Fucking Page 6 says they're doing 4 weeks of reshoots and suddenly that blows up into 40% of the fucking movie? LOL
This. the writer of the movie tweeted that they are doing reshoots like every movie does, but the 40% rumor is pure malarkey.
it's from the site that got a lot of the episode 7 rumors right. of course, they also got a fair amount wrong. 40% is bullshit.
Dammit. I got so used to only typing canon in here to make sure I was correct, I forgot to use the other one correctly.
This will be the closest we get to what's going on with Rogue One due to Breznican's relationship with Lucasfilm. http://www.ew.com/article/2016/06/03/rogue-one-reshoots
I might stab the next person who says "many Bothans died" in relation to Rogue One. Many Bothans died stealing the plans for the 2nd Death Star, not the first one.
Finally got to read Bloodline. I thought it was really good and helped fill in the details of the state of the galaxy in TFA (which I felt the movie did a really poor job of fully explaining). Highly recommend.
No chance they re-shoot THAT much of the movie. Everyone would've had to screw up horribly the first time around for this to be true. Producers' and actors' heads would roll.
Yeah SW is much more collaborative now with movies, books and comics all co-telling the stories. JJ didn't want to get bogged down with politics so Kathy pushed that part of the story to the novels.
