Little undersized for the steelers Mac backer spot and a little slow footed to play on third down, but they're not looking for much from him right away. Classic special teamer and spot duty guy you get late who grows into a hometown hero eventually. If he doesn't pan out, it only cost you a 7th round pick. Plus Lambert has a chance to drop a spot on the "Ugliest Steeler Linebacker" chart.

Moved to wr i think, he was pretty bad when they really gave him more playing time. I've snooped around a little(very little), the fans don't want swoopes playing and they don't believe the smoke. Some think it doesn't matter since their new offense is very qb friendly. Lots of screens, read option and a few shots down the field. Swoopes ran it in hs. Most of them still think strong is just not tipping his hat. I think the true frosh will play a lot more than swoopes, i wouldn't be surprised if both played but buechle with 90%.

The fact that Swoopes played the read option in high school shouldn't give them the warm and fuzzies if he still can't hit the broad side of the barn. Furthermore, if it is one offense BVG's defense is well suited for, it's the read option. Allows for attacking the flats and lets the defense get very aggressive without going too exotic. I'm not sure how any of this news bodes well for Texas. This of course assumes this is in fact what is happening.
