I honestly believe Deangelo might be the most complex character on the show--I can never figure out if he's a smart guy cought up in a shitty situation, or whether he's just an idiot. When he talks about running the drug game without all the violence he seems like a pretty enlightened dude, but then you have the scene where Bunk and McNulty convince him to write the "apology letter". Deangelo is a tough nut to crack.

i started watching a week ago and im already almost done with season 2
