hard to tell, he isn't ready to be a full time P5 starter but I dont think he's completely without talent we just overstock on IOL every season and I think he wants to be in the mix which was gonna be a while here good dude, wish him well
he did show up with a good amount of work to do in the weight room/conditioning in a different decade he'd be rsJr before he ever saw a real snap at FSU.....like Bryson Estes (who finally might do something)
This might be the only time I’ve ever seen a team overstocking IOL as a strategy. They are a dime a dozen in comparison to OTs and not really a premium position. Why would you be doing that?
Ours seem to all crosstrain the other positions, but he came in at a time when we were coming off having one of the worst p5 OLs in the country. Had to throw numbers at it
Too many kids think getting the FSU, UGA, Bama, Clemson offers as So/Jr means they've made it. Hard to sniff out the soft kids who won't work.
Knew a kid just like this. Had offers from everyone as a junior, milked minor injuries all senior year because he didn’t want to end up like Boobie Miles. His high school coaches dogged him out, SEC schools quit pursuing and he ended up at Colorado.
when any of my kids get an offer, we do bull in the ring vs the entire team until someone dies or quits. That way we combat all softness and complacency from entering our progrum.

Deion Sanders Jr called Kanell a full ass hoe on twitter after Kannel criticized Deion about something. IIRC there was merit to it. In Kanell's defense, he shockingly took it pretty well and just had fun w the banter. But Bud seemed to use that as an excuse to just dump on Sanders. Luckily for Bud, there are so many easy things to criticize so he hasnt been forced to make hot takes ect.
Bud is basically an extension of everyone connected to FSU’s thoughts, he just is in a position that is supposed to be an unbiased sport wide analyst
I am mildly surprised we haven’t had good defensive defections that want to start elsewhere. Still might over the next week I suppose but not many rumblings at present.
Rumor is he's quitting football to focus on track & field. Probably not a terrible idea, he kinda plateaued (or regressed) the last few years, possibly due to trying to do both sports.
Same here. I think we were expecting around 6-7 guys and we've only had two thus far- none in the two deep.
I expected some like 3rd/4th guys at pretty much every position group on D that have played and will play a bunch of football this fall but aren’t the starters and want to be somewhere else

Any idea on where this one is headed? Gus was after him really hard coming out of HS and UCF was one of the finalists for him. I know we desperate need some help at DE, so I imagine Gus will kick the tires again.
We kind of recruited him out of HS, but I don't think we need to take any DTs right now out of the portal unless we have some attrition in the next week.
