I love this time. Can gamble on stuff during the day. For the first week or so, Its always best to bet on the Home Team. Home team will have the better pitchers/lineup 99% of the time. A trend I have followed for the past 2 years is betting against the Houston Astros on the road. 2010 - Houston was 3-10 on the road. 2009 - Houston was 2-13 on the road. We will see if that trend continues this year. For new people to Spirng Training. Dont just bet blindly. You have to look at whose starting for each team that game and who is scheduled to pitch. You can find that information usually an hour before each game. For Weeks 1-2, they usually have around 4-6 pitchers for each game. Then after that they will have 3-4 pitchers and then you can see how their ERA is for Spring.
Great stuff. I love this time of year as well as far as scouting my fantasy team, but haven't had much success with betting. I look forward to following your plays.
Among the pitchers scheduled to follow Lincecum are Madison Bumgarner, San Francisco's No. 5 starter; Javier Lopez, the team's top situational left-hander; right-handed reliever Steve Edlefsen, who's 25-8 with a 2.46 ERA in four Minor League seasons; and right-hander Casey Daigle, who has Major League experience with Arizona and Houston. Bochy said that his starting lineup will be "fairly close" to the projected Opening Day nine. Expect to see catcher Buster Posey, shortstop Miguel Tejada, third baseman Pablo Sandoval, left fielder Pat Burrell and right fielder Cody Ross open the game against Arizona left-hander Joe Saunders.
