-------RVP--------------Carroll---------------Pato---------- ------------------------Kagawa--------------------------------- -----------------Wilshere----------------Jones-------------------- -Nagatomo----------Hummels---------Pepe---------Glen Johnson Saint Iker Subs- Walcott, Giggs, Ivanovic, Tasci, Akinfeev TNE has a terrific attack but I'm going straight at his defense. 3-pronged attack with Kagawa and Wilshere supporting it. Carroll through the center, Van Persie to the left of him, and Pato to the right. Outside backs will support the midfield and get up and cross the ball into the box for Carroll and the others to do damage. Kagawa will help the D at times but more of an attacker with Wilshere-Jones holding. I'm gonna play a deeper line as Cesc and Messi are too good at picking apart defenses. Keep everything in front of me and make them shoot from distance and even then getting the big bodies in the way. Nobody getting behind but not sitting back. Main thing I wanna do is cut down on space and not give them any. Shut down his midfield and get the ball to my attackers to go at his backline. I don't expect Iker to be beaten too many times from distance so main thing is not allowing Messi, Benzema, or Neymar to get behind my defense. My boys are running all game and playing tough. Holding up the ball after the whistle, if they make a tackle they put force into it, lil elbows and pushing when the ref isn't looking, I wanna get in Messi, Neymar, and Cesc' heads. Attacking Chandler is a priority. He's never seen an attack like this and I wanna see how he holds up. He'll get help from Alex but Alex has to worry about himself with Carroll. Leading in the 2nd half Giggs for Pato- Take off a forward for a mid to try and hold up possession more. Ivanovic for Kagawa- Put him in and move Pepe up as a defensive mid playing behind Wilshere and Jones. Tied in 2nd half and open Walcott for Kagawa- Move RVP deeper into a playmaker. Put Pato up through the center next to Carroll and have Walcott destroy Aogo on the flanks. Ivanvic for Jones- Move him back to center defense and have Pepe hold the midfield next to Wilshere. Down in the 2nd half- Walcott for Jones- Put Pato and Carroll up front. Van Persie runs the show, Wilshere holds and Kagawa/Walcott go at Aogo/Chandler with all they got. Or Giggs for Kagawa if I need craft and to pick out the perfect pass or cross. Free kicks-corners Left- Van Persie. Hummels-Pepe-Carroll as the targets. If Giggs is in the game he'll be another option Left free kicks from 30+ yards. Carroll as an option. Right Pato- Same targets. Penalties- Van Persie
good day old friend Starting 11 (4-1-2-3) ----------------------------Benzema--------------------------- Neymar---------------------------------Messi----------------- -----------------------------Cesc------------------------------- ---------------------------------------Boateng----------------- ----------------------------Song ------------------------------- Aogo-----------------Silva-----------Alex------------Chandler -------------------------------Weise----------------------------- Same starting 11, no reason to switch things up at this point since it has been working. I think we will dominate possession, especially with his team playing a deeper line, there should be a lot of space in the midfield for us to exploit, his biggest weakness is that outside of Pato, his team lacks the pace to really hit me on the counter attack, so we will press high up the field and keep a relatively high line, we will try to pressure Jones as much as possible when he is on the ball, and hope for mistakes made in his own half like in previous matches, the main area we will attack is at the top of the 18 with Cesc and Messi combining to play though the middle, I dont think Jones and Wilshere can combine to mark those two. When Pepe or Hummels is forced to step up, there will be more room to play in Neymar/Benzema through the middle I think he will struggle to get the ball out of his own half due to Carroll not being the best at holding up play and RVP's lack of pace and width, when the ball is played to Carroll in the middle as an outlet, Alex and Thiago Silva will instantly close him down and hopefully win the ball back, his lack of an effective outlet will lead to more possession for me and more goal scoring chances, when his fullbacks push up, they will be more vulnerable to lack of pace elsewhere on the field, Song and Boateng will help with Chandler in this match, but the lack of a gifted wide player on his side protects him a bit Also it should be noted that Messi owns Iker and anything Madrid related, as well as being completely unflappable under pressure, the more you try to mess with him, the better he is he is guaranteed a goal or two in this match up the rest is the same Bench- Kjaer, Grobkreutz, Schurrle, Steklenberg, Negredo Corners/Crossing FKs- Cesc (has Benzema, Silva, Alex, Boateng and Song to aim for) Short FK- Messi/Cesc (offers a left and right footed option) Long FK- Alex Grobkreutz------------------------Messi----------------------- -------------------------Cesc------------------------------------ -----------------------------------------Boateng---------------- -------------------------------Song ----------------------------- Aogo-----------------Silva-----------Alex------------Chandler -------------------------------Weise----------------------------- Grobkreutz comes in and provides much more defensive cover than Neymar, he can come in on either wing if one of the fullbacks is struggling, Messi can play either side Up after 80’ (4-3-2-1) Kjaer -> Benzema <- -------------------------------Messi------------------------------- ----------------Grobkreutz--------------------------------------- --------------------------------------Cesc-------------------------- -----------------Song --------Silva--------Boateng-------------- Aogo-----------------Kjaer-----------Alex------------Chandler -------------------------------Weise----------------------------- Add Kjaer’s height as a CB, plus Thiago Silva’s tackling ability at cdm, a group of Song/Silva/Boateng will prevent anyone from playing through the middle, and Aogo/Chandler can worry about marking wingers while the other 5 deal with crosses, Cesc stays in and helps spring counter attacks with the pace of Grob and Messi Up after 90’ (4-3-2-1) Negredo -> Messi <- -----------------------------------Negredo----------------------- ----------------Grobkreutz--------------------------------------- Sounds like TSO is under-estimating the challenge he faces. Forgot to add. My manager for this match is Rafa due to his tactical genius in UCL over TSO.
not underestimating, just have faith in my talent you can have Rafa, but I want Ray Hudson calling the match Ray Hudson's commentss on Messi's pass in Argentina vs Portugal friendly match liverayhudson Live Ray Hudson "The cools are very, very cool. Here is the breakdown. Van Persie>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Neymar Carroll=Benzema Messi>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Pato Cesc>>>>>>>>>>>>Kagawa Wilshere>>>>>>>>Boateng Song>>>>>>>>>>>Jones Nagatomo=Aogo Hummels= Silva Pepe>>>>>>Alex Johnson>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Chandler Casillas>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Weise Gunners bench>>>>>>>>>TSO's bench I'd say I got at least 25-30 >'s on TSO
soccer cant be judged by just adding up individual parts, my players fit my formation better and compliment each other perfectly, and even so, the attacking foursome of Messi/Cesc/Benzema/Neymar is better than any attack in the tournament, no matter what the >>> say RVP where is he is playing is barely > than Neymar, considering they are both playing wide I would almost rather have Neymar and his pace over RVP and his guile and craft
Just think Watson, how amazing would those Liverpool teams have been with Hummels and Pepe in the middle and Glen Johnson on the right. As good as Reina is, he's no Casillas. Neymar is nothing more than a name right now with potential. To say Van Persie is barely better is foolish. 1 goal per game in EPL vs 1 goal every 2.5 games in Brazilian league. You make the choice. And all I said was Van Persie would be to the left of Carroll. He isn't working the flanks. He will work with Kagawa, Wilshere, and Carroll and go through the center plenty. Your tactics are flawed. Kinda like Messi with Argentina where he is merely a shell of himself.
Messi with Cesc >>>>>>>>>>>> Messi with the shit he has to play with for Argentina the reason he is a shell is that he has no one to distribute him the ball in dangerous areas, here he has Cesc, and even Boateng, who played really well for Milan as a CAM I would much rather funnel play towards the center and the strength of my defense with Song/Alex/Silva. Your reliance on the fullbacks for width will only expose your teams overall lack of pace
Is Kagawa not fast? He's going through the center but still, I like him running at your defense and playing 1-2s off Van Persie and Carroll. Kagawa and Pato are plenty of speed. Either way I'm just messing around. I know I got no chance with your fan boys.
first impression from watching the teams walk out of the tunnel both of us have really bright shoes Alex and RVP are the captains will upload any goals
Chandler gets forward well, but dribbles straight into Hummels, RVP gets played into the vacated area, but his cross intended for Carroll is dealt with easily Neymar attempts a triple step over before getting tackled Benzema just headed by about 15 feet...... inside the six yard box, just a horrible effort
finally a goal, Jack wilshere on a diving header Benzema quickly responds by playing a through ball out of bounds 1-0 Buckeye
game ends at 1-1, 52-48 possession in my favor, buckeye had 2 more shots on goal, man on the match was Wiese
