I knew that was the reason. Were people really confusing us? I mean, the difference in fan sections makes it pretty easy to distinguish, I thought.

 

I'm just happy there's gonna be some customization this go around

fuck, me2 was basically a traditional fps in that regard, you went from having to much minutiae to deal with in ME1 to every choice being made for you in ME2

 

yea that was one thing I didnt like in ME2, I love customizing my guns. Cant wait for this game, its gonna be amazing

 

yeah it's sounding awesome, I'm glad they're taking the extra time they need to get it done. Literally everything in ME2 improved on what was in ME1 though, and I'm expecting the same thing again

i thought mass effect was an xbox exclusive, but I yesterday I noticed Mass Effect 2 for PS3.

Do I need to play the first one to enjoy ME2?

 

you cant play the first, its not on ps3 and it was an exclusive until this past january


get me2 and it gives you an interactive comic that sums the first game and allows you to make decisions, its not the first game but you cant play that without god's system :P

 

Short answer is no.

Longer answer is kinda. The way I understand it is that PS3 and PC have it set up so that you go through some sort of interactive comic before the game. This is a clever way of having you make some of the choices you would have made in the first game and to give you the cliffs of the story thus far. While I do think this is a pretty clever way of going about it, nothing compares to actually playing the game.

Experiencing the differences in the two games was one of the joys. I also thought it was cool knowing that your choices and actions had a noticable effect in the 2nd game.

But if you are handicapped with only a PS3 then there really is nothing you can do. Like I said, the short answer is go ahead and play.

You don't need to, but it would be a damn shame if you did not.

ME1 is the greatest story in video game history. 2 builds off a ME1, but there is so much depth in ME1 that is covered, it would be a shame to skip it.

 

Not if you have a PC. Series is a must play. Find a way to make it happen.

anyways I finally got a cerberus code and it's very i bought all the playable dlc's too and the overlord one is sweet. It was tough as hell(playing on insanity) but it was just as good as the lair and arrival dlc's in a lot of ways
